I've always personally been fascinated by the ideas mentioned by Eric Bischoff with "nWo Nitro" and "WCW Thunder," and asked him for some specific plans. Bischoff confirmed to me that there was going to be a formal brand split in WCW if his plans were put forth, and the two shows would have looked, felt and been produced differently. WCW would have had a more traditional wrestling feel to it, and nWo Nitro would have felt more edgy. He said that by the time the AOL/Time Warner merger was happening, he knew that the brand split idea that he had been working on wasn't going to end up happening.

Can't wait for this interview, always been intrigued by the plans for the brand split and wondered why it never happened. It'll be interesting to hear all the ideas of it and what the Powers that be thought of it in Turner and Time Warner .

So, the brand split was just a copy of what WCW planned? Or was the original brand split for WWE actually suggested by Bischoff when he was soon to join as RAW GM?
