Murphy's involvement in Roman Reigns attacker story was a total accident (Patreon)

Buddy Murphy played an integral part in the not-so-fondly remembered Roman Reigns attacker storyline. However, it was all an accident. Murphy tells us that he was thinking over some of his creative backstage, and just happened to be in the shot when Roman Reigns was "attacked." He didn't even realize it until Elias sent him a message saying he was spotted, and he got on Twitter and saw all of the buzz. He was never originally intended to be a part of the angle. Roman Reigns scrapped their originally planned match so they could build it more, and make a bigger spectacle out of it, which ended up being the Smackdown main event we saw. Murphy put over Reigns heavily for tweaking the match, but still working Murphy's style with no problems.
