Drake Wuertz is gone from WWE, and the NXT roster were not short on words about his behavior.

In the wake of Drake Wuertz's backstage NXT county commission video and news that he wasn't allowed in the CWC for weeks, more people that had spoken about him off the record were more willing to go on the record. Several names at the Performance Center claim Drake has had "nuclear heat brought on by himself" for the better part of a year. This follows instances where WWE had to warn him about attending events without a mask and not being vaccinated, and several "attempts for political plays," we're told.

In regards to political plays, the roster was well aware that Drake Wuertz had been trying to position himself for certain roles within the company, and was willing to try to put heat on others to get there, and attempted to numerous times.

There were a couple of instances where we're told that minorities within NXT took exception to the way things were worded by Wuertz. One situation we've heard of involved EJ Nduka (Ezra Judge) almost feeling the need to get physical with Drake. There were numerous times when talent, specifically people of color, went to NXT higher ups about situations like this.

Last year's NXT In Your House gained Drake Wuertz significant heat after the show, as story of his behavior circulated. Triple H gave a speech in the middle of the Black Lives Matter movement, which saw him say (paraphrasing) that all people, races, genders, and religions were welcomed. We were told that when "religions" were mentioned, Wuertz's attitude immediately changed, and he aggressively gathered his belongings and left.

In the months following, no fewer than ten wrestlers have told Fightful they didn't feel comfortable or safe around Wuertz. He was also known to have loudly criticized wrestlers for getting vaccinations or even simple flu shots.

I’m not gonna spread it, just thinking out loud

HeyBroItsBrad

Got mad that all religions are welcome. What a fucking psycho.

Drake isn’t the only one who has turned this way in today’s political & social media climate, sadly. This happens to not just guys like him but also friends and family too. People fall down a certain social media rabbit hole and lose all touch with reality. And I’m not excusing the behavior of Drake mentioned here by saying all of this. Just and indictment of the power of certain social media movements

No tears will be shed for his firing ,he's been hanging on long enough.

That's unfortunately true lost some friends in the last few years due to the political atmosphere

Reading this report and other reports written about Drake, plus some of his personal Facebook posts it seems that he might not be in a good place mentally. Please note, this is not me condoning his actions or beliefs. I personally believe that his recent behaviour at council meetings was inappropriate. I hope that if he is unstable that he can get the help that he needs. But that help is only there for people who want it. I do fear that he's too far down this qAnon rabbit hole that he might not be able to get out.

He lasted a lot longer than he should have. Glad they finally gave him the boot.

He can't go back to wrestling after this. If he's somehow still friends with any wrestlers signed to notable promotions, they better not be doing him any favors and trying to get him another job. Janela made his stance clear on Drake, hopefully GCW and AEW will keep their distance from Drake too.

Will Landrum

AEW would never have an interest. They're an incredibly 'woke' company. Besides, they don't need him.

I truly feel bad for guys like Drake. I've heard stories over the past four years about people falling into the QAnon trap and how it devastates their family and friends. I hope he gets help and figures his shit out.

The fact that they hired him in the first place is just wrong, and the fact that it took this long for him to be fired is even worse.

He wasn't always this crazy from what I hear. He was once one of the boys in czw, did a lot to get where he was, but since then he has quickly became the season 19 premiere episode of the Dark Side of The Ring

How are WWE wrong for hiring him if this behavior is recent
