If you were shocked or unhappy about the split of The Hurt Business, you weren't alone. According to WWE sources, so were the members of the group.

Fightful was told that Vince McMahon alone made the decision to split up the Hurt Business last week on Raw, much to the chagrin of those in the group. We're told that he was set in his choice to fracture the group, even after MVP and Bobby Lashley were vocal about not being in support of the move. Sources indicated that both MVP and Lashley met with Vince McMahon about the idea, but the latter dughis heels in even more.

Based on several wrestlers that we spoke to, the decision, and McMahon's insistence to continue down that road was a blow to morale.

Vince really doesn’t have faith Drew won’t get booed at Mania, does he? It’s the only reason I can see why you’d break up this group & put Corbin with Lashley.

Yah pretty much lashley would have gotten cheered which sucks for Benjamin and Alexander

I wish they'd put retired t-shirts in the rafters of the Thunderdome of teams & factions gone too soon. RIP Hurt Business, but you still lasted longer than Y2AJ.

Stubborn as fuck.

it can't be happenstance at this point. vince has to be actively sabotaging the talent so that nobody gets over.

why cant we ever have nice things in wwe, just let things happen organically. Lashley couldve been that rare monster babyface that braun almost was.

Brian Bayless

Feel bad for Shelton & Cedric.

Hurt business was the one clear highlight along with drew on what has otherwise been a painful show to watch smh

WWE: Every stable/tag team except for New Day for some reason lasts less than a year cause paying more than two people to main event a show is too expensive except for the numerous times Vince actually booked more than two people to main event a show, NOW TAKE IT AND LIKE IT!! AEW: *is literally Oprah when it comes to stables* iMPACT: Uhh.....we got a stable for Eric Young? That...that's neat, right? Just to disclaim, I'm still behind on iMPACT and most of my knowledge rn is from the thumbnails and titles from their YT uploads, so I'm pretty sure Violent By Design is literally the only stable in iMPACT right now.
