Fightful spoke to several wrestlers in the weeks following Zelina's release bout the fact that she wasn't granted an “exit” meeting with Vince McMahon. Most everyone that we heard from were not surprised by the fact this happened, and we got stories from virtually everyone we asked about planned meeting being delayed weeks, and having to wait by his office for an hour at a time to get face time with him. One wrestler noted that it didn't instill a lot of confidence in them that Zelina had an actual concern over a hot button issue and wasn't heard out, and was promptly fired. A Raw wrestler mentioned that the shift over the last nine months had been evident, with WWE not letting disgruntled wrestlers go, to releasing talent with upside, to firing people with grievances.

With everything I've heard about WWE lately, including this, I will never be able to wrap my head around why people go to sign with WWE, as well as how people can still so casually support them. In terms of signing, you can claim "it's cause money" all you want, but if that's the only reason one can come up with, then there's clearly not much hope or a realistic vision for anything else happening in WWE their way.

money only reason or blindness

I don't know. I mean, Oliver Luck has a CONTRACT and has to go through a complicated and time-consuming law suit to try to get Vince M and his various companies (alpha sports, whatever) to actually honor it. I mean, it was a big money deal that was suppose to pay him regardless if the XFL 2.0 was a success or folded. Given that, I am at a loss why anybody would think that THIS time, Vince will give me a fair deal. Don't forget, they SUED Owen's Harts Wife for "business" reasons.
