The Luke Harper and Matt Harper interviews, plus Ryno’s comments all show that WWE is pretty open about the fact that theyre paying wrestlers even for whom they have no plans, “just to have them”: 1) if an investor/investment firm/shareholder rep saw those comments, wouldnt that...look like shit? The reported numbers are six to seven figure commitments that serve literally no purpose other than to deny the market talent... 2) which leads me to my next point: isnt this kind of making a strong case for anyone that might, i dunno, call WWE an anticompetitive monopoly? Or, alternatively...hurt WWE’s “independent contractor” deal? Maybe this is a Thurston/Jimmy topic they can tackle too

Did you ever get into watching shoot videos, any ones that stand out to you? I loved the timeline one they did with Bruno.

I was too young to remember Jake the Snake but when he debut’d in AEW, i consistently heard how he was a great promo. About 3 weeks in, havent his promos been wildly meandering at best, inconsistent and distracting at worst? I mean Archer’s gimmick was best sold thru that pretape asskicking segment and his “Murder hawk everyone dies” persona is real simple. Calling Brandi “cleopatra” adds nothing to me. Where did his promo rep come from and do you think he is adding to Archer’s act thru his mic work?

Do you think Goldberg is more likely to retain at Wrestlemania now that he's facing Braun? Or with him being such a part timer do you think Braun will actually win?

Sorry if i have not kept up with the AEW post shows. I know you are cool with Matt but also will remain objective: How the hell is this version of Matt Hardy supposs to fit in the “sports” oriented to of AEW? Wasnt the face off with Jericho completely disjointed? Was the recent “turn” on social media against the “teleportation magic” deal (calling it a drone trick attack) a response by Tony Khan to this very issue?

VoW (joe lanza most loudly) characterized the dichotomy like this: Broken Matt is great at getting Matt over, much credit. But it did not create any sustained success in TNA/Impact and it doesnt look like its gonna get AEW the promotion more over. Does that make sense? I sort of get it, do you agree?

Do you know what affect a prolonged Coronavirus shutdown will have on current contract lengths? With Braun stating that he is not currently getting paid because shows are cancelled does that maybe suggest that WWE have frozen contracts? Is this likely to cause legal/financial challenges to mid-sized organisations like ROH who have talent like Dragon Lee and Flip Gordon who are in their last 6-9 months of contracts?

On the latest AEW Unrestricted podcast, Matt Jackson said one of the more surprising aspects of the experience was the “power of tv” to get someone over. Now, with we have seen that just putting someone on a Raw or Smackdown does not guarantee “over”-ness Are you surprised at how, relatively quickly, and not even using everyone every week, AEW has gotten relative unknowns like MJF or Darby to such a high level of recognition and reaction? Now that we are in a sort of time out period, can you step back and quantify what lessons we’ve learnd about introducing new talent on tv and getting them to a certain level?

We all hear what a big deal a wrestler's first Wrestlemania is to them. What have you heard from people who are having their first in an empty arena? How are they handling it?

Would this be an ideal time to film a mae young classic-esque or king of the ring type tournament? Have it take place over all the shows over the next few weeks? It would be easy to tape over a few days and gives all the matches stakes. You could give each person in the match a highlight package and make the audience care about them.

With all the "sirloin beef sonsabitches" on nxt being able to do all these agile moves, would it be beneficial for someone like Dijakovic to be a throwback to the classic big man of never leaving his feet and just hittting power moves?
