It seems like the entire AFC North wants to wrestle.
When speaking to IMPACT Wrestling's Moose, Fightful asked if anyone from his playing days had contacted him with an interest in wrestling.
"Yes, actually. Gary Barnidge played for the Cleveland Browns and he wants to be a wrestler," said Moose. "He was a tight end. I think he made a couple of pro-bowls, actually, too. He wants to be a wrestler. He always asks me about, “Hey, man, you should talk to Scott D’Amore, so we can have that match.” ‘Cause our good buddy DeAngelo Williams was my tag partner a couple of [Slammaversaries] ago. So, Gary actually wants to wrestle, he wants me to be his first opponent. So, you never know, you might see Gary Barnidge in IMPACT! Wrestling at some point.
Barnidge is a 6'5", 250 pound, 34-year old former tight end who finished up his career on the field a few years ago. He's appeared on WWE's Total Divas program, going out on dates with Rosa Mendes and Summer Rae.
This wouldn't be a first for Barnidge. He's actually appeared on IMPACT Wrestling programming with Moose back in 2017. He would also get involved physically in an angle, hitting Davey Richards with a body slam.
As mentioned, Pittsburgh Steelers veteran D'Angelo Williams, as well as Cincinnati Bengals vet Adam "Pacman" Jones have appeared in IMPACT Wrestling in the past.
You can see our full interview with Moose below, and can check him out every week on IMPACT Wrestling, Tuesday nights on AXS.
