SRS' Impact Wrestling Notes For This Week (Patreon)
Content
- Eli Drake is so much better than he's given credit for. It's weird for me to see Pentagon as such a babyface, and their match ended kind of abruptly for my liking.
- Interested in what you all think of the "studio" format for some of these shows. You never know what you'll get from a week to week basis on Impact, but the show looks so much slicker than a few months ago.
- I'm not into the Allie/Rosemary/Su Yung storyline. It's not quite Abyss/Judas Mesias levels of stupid, it's just there.
- Sami Callihan was shown attacking Don Callis who was accepting an "award" at one of Santino Marella's shows. Callis bumps better than a lot of active wrestlers. I like the approach Callihan is taking. He knows he's a draw that can get away with doing a lot of stuff.
- I wasn't a fan of Moose vs. Kongo Kong, or really any Kongo Kong match I've ever seen. Moose hits the ropes in an unusual way, but I guess it works for him.
- Grado vs. Raju -- whatever. Grado is generally harmless fun, and Joseph Park plays off of him well. I love the reintroduction of Katarina. Park was the latest victim of the "x" attacker. I'm assuming we'll find out more about this at the June or July tapings.
- KM and Fallah Bah are FANTASTIC together. I hope this storyline actually leads to Bah losing a little weight for his own health, because he's a great talent.
- Impact is still pushing Cage HARD, and probably rightfully so. He's unlike anyone on their roster and can do amazing things. He beat Suguira in a match from NOAH.
- Scott Steiner was harmless on this program, and the backstage interview was a good way to get his face on TV.
- The Eddie Edwards storyline has some terrible acting, but I'm still interested in it. He was begging Impact to not fire Callihan.
- Overall, Impact is a good watch again. Nothing outstanding, but I'll always recommend at least watching the Youtube clips.
