Because Corbin won MITB last year being on smackdown, I think this year is going to be a RAW guy winning it. I still think Roman vs Mahal is going to be for MITB qualification, and Roman might just Win it & challenge Lesnar using it. Curious to know your thoughts.

Why would McIntyres "you people phone it in" character team up with Dolph Ziggler who seemingly phones it in for at least some time each year?  Seems like an odd pairing without any story at all.

When you went to universal did you ride the Simpsons ride?  I'm pretty sure it was my least favorite ride of all time... what your favorite Theme park/rides of all time?

This is probably just the sour stench of Backlash affecting me, and I know you're doing this as both a fan and professionally, but does WWE ever just depress you enough to require a break from watching it?  Listening to Wrestlenomics, its particularly disheartening to realize that the company is doing so well financially that creative is detached from business success to the point there is no hope for significant change until . . . well, Vince dies or retires.

On a cheerier note, we're at the midway point of the year almost, so maybe its worth asking . . . who are the contenders for Wrestler of the Year?  Gargano's got my actual MOTY (v Almas) but only one other high profile match against Ciampa, so his top end resume is light.  ZSJ's NJ Cup run alone was probably enough to propsel him to contendership, and thats not counting his work in other companies.  However, my guy is Will Osprey:  4 way at WK12, defenses against Hiromu, Scurll, and Kushida (all in the 4.5 star range), plus Progress against Travis Banks and Rev Pro against Mark Andrews.  

Heard the brief All-In discussion on the SDlive postshow.  What do you think of Okada-Jericho at the top? Doesnt need a belt, and Okada is already confirmed.  jericho isnt confirmed hit his TalkIsJericho with the Young Bucks make it a virtual certainty he’ll help them (they asked him straight up and theyre doing the JeriCruise).  Its a fresh matchup that doesnt burn a NJPW main imo, since jericho isnt fulltime NJPW

Don Callis did a pod (Killing the Town) in which he gave essentially a play by play of his experience leading up to the Jericho appearance at Dontaku

The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega have each done Talk is Jericho podcasts that completely broke kayfabe.  

All of these are very entertaining and informative, and give us unprecedented access into what goes on behind the scenes and how the wrestlers think/feel

However, are we quickly approaching the point where this information is actually an overload and all surprise and kayfabe is just dead?  Is knowing when a wrestler’s contract is up something we should have in mind when watching a match?  

Insight from interviews like that always lurk in my mind when watching the related promotion.

In contrast, when I watch something like Stardom, in which I have no information about anyone’s background, the experience is more “pure.”
