Sammy D Interview Notes

Fightful’s Corey Brennan recently sat down with former OTT World Champion Sammy D ahead of ScrapperMania on August 10th.

On his recent tension with fellow Draw member Jay, Sammy noted that he and Jay had the same goal of reaching the top of the card, but had no doubt that the pair would be on the same page at ScrapperMania this weekend. On Charlie Sterling’s recent return from knee surgery, Sammy said it was a massive morale boost for the faction and that he kept up with Charlie during his recovery.

Sammy wondered if he had been blind to B Cool’s negative effect on The Draw in the lead up to the situation between the pair reaching a boiling point. Sammy said that without him, B Cool would not have had the chances he’s had in recent years, including his match with Jon Moxley. Sammy noted that B Cool’s selfishness is what got him terminated from The Draw. On B Cool’s possible partners, Sammy mocked the idea of B Cool having anyone to call on, suggesting that Barry will team with his family at ScrapperMania.

Sammy admitted that he has been thinking about the possibility of walking out of back to back ScrapperMania events as OTT World Champion, but that it will be business as usual on August 10th. Sammy once again stated his belief that Trent Seven is running from his responsibilities in OTT as world champion, and he has no concern of Nic Nemeth and Mike Bailey being at the event.

Hey Sean, if you are able to interview Bryan to promote All In, I was wondering if you can ask him his thoughts on John Cena’s retirement tour and if there’s any chance we can see one last match between them two.
