  • We've not heard of any significant injuries emerging out of Money in the Bank. We've asked about Tanga Loa after he hit his head on the table

  • Specifically we were told that Chelsea Green, Zoey Stark and Chad Gable were fine after the big spots they took.

  • Matt Cardona, Josh Alexander and Jade Chung were around the show. The latter two live in the area. Former referee Jimmy Korderas was around this weekend as well.

  • Speaking of referees, those in gorilla said the referee in the main event was fine as well. He recently returned from an injury and took numerous bumps in the match.

  • There was a lot of light hearted joking backstage about Tanga Loa accidentally punching Kevin Owens in the ass, then Tama Tonga in the head on the low blow attempt.

  • To follow up on the Women's IC & US Title rumors, talent we've spoken to haven't heard of the possibility before the reports, but were hopeful it would happen. Other staff we spoke to were also excited about the possibility.

  • A lot of people on social media have noted that Seth Rollins was seen still in town for NXT Heatwave. There's a lot of talent still in town that will be backstage at the show. Tomorrow's WWE Raw is in Ottawa, which is less then an hour flight.

  • We'll have more details on Money in the Bank, and the world title match, John Cena and other things from the show here on Select shortly.

Tiffany Stratton

Fightful’s Joel Pearl attended WWE Money in the Bank Media Day in Toronto and spoke with former NXT Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton the day before the Premium Live Event.

Joel told Tiffany about Fightful's interview with her from this past February’s Elimination Chamber in Perth, Australia. He informed Stratton that it was the highest-viewed video of all our interviews that weekend. Stratton told Joel that she heard NXT was big in Australia and believes that could have been a factor. Stratton added, “Plus, who doesn’t love some Tiffy Time.”

Tiffany told us about her signing with Paradigm Talent Agency. She said, her main focus is wrestling, but does want to branch out into Hollywood eventually. She told Joel, that it’s way for her to get her foot in the door.

Joel would follow-up by asking if she was planning on singing or dancing, which Tiffany said she was not singer or a dancer. Joel asked her if she had a favorite musician from Canada and she said Justin Bieber and would add, “Bieber Fever, baby.”

In closing, Joel mentioned the ties that Bieber has with Drake and asked if she had an opinion on the Drake and Kendrick Lamar feud. The Money in the Bank contestant said, she was not into it, but does love the two songs.

Carmelo Hayes

Fightful’s Joel Pearl caught up with former NXT Heavyweight and North American Champion Carmelo Hayes during WWE’s Money in the Bank media availability in Toronto the day before the Premium Live Event.

Joel mentioned to Carmelo his tweet about some recently received free food. Carmelo said right off the bat that he wanted the people who claimed it was a lie to know that if he was going to lie about something, it would not be about a twenty-dollar meal he had at an airport.

The former Limitless World Champion told Joel it was a sandwich he got at a Potbelly’s in New York. The person working told him, “You pinned Randy Orton; your HIM, it’s free.”

When Joel asked if he were to become WWE Champion and receive free stuff, Carmelo Hayes humbly stated that he did not want to set the notion that he wants free stuff. He emphasized that if he wanted something, he would buy it.

Joel said they were at an MLSE (Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment) community event and that when Carmelo came out, he grabbed the net, but LA Knight did it too. Joel asked who would win in a one-on-one. Carmelo said LA Knight wanted to be like him and told Joel, “You already know who wins when I shoot.”

In closing, Carmelo says he has worked with a lot of people. He mentioned Rey Mysterio and Darby Allin in a triple threat. Carmelo said, “I wrestled Rey Mysterio and Darby Allin in a triple threat. It wasn’t one way or another. It was just go out, ball out, and try to make a name for myself. I wanted to go where I was wanted. The place [WWE] that wanted me got me.

LA Knight

Fightful’s Joel Pearl caught up with former IMPACT World Champion LA Knight during WWE’s Money in the Bank media availability in Toronto the day before the Premium Live Event.

Joel kicked off the interview by asking about his recent visit to the residence of WWE United States Champion Logan Paul. Knight noted that he did not break in and that Paul’s goofy friends let him in.

Knight said he did not take anything from the house. Knight replied, “No, I don’t have to. The moral of the story is that I can take anything from him at any time,” and added that he’s taking Paul’s US Championship.

Knight was asked if he peed in the pool. He said, “I can’t say one or another. I can say it was a great toilet.”

In closing, Joel mentioned the workout video that LA Knight was once in. Knight was in Triple H’s Power Fitness Series DVD. Knight noted that was his only workout video, but he said it was interesting.

Knight says he doesn’t know if anyone knew what they were in for. He mentioned that they wanted to keep everything hush-hush and quiet. He said he and the others in the video had an idea that they would do something physical when they got there but didn’t know exactly what. Then, they found out they would do the Triple H workout video.
