The "WWE Vault" channel is an official one, for those asking. WWE recently trademarked the term.
To answer a question from a reader this weekend, WWE does plan on using the Jacob Fatu name moving forward and are trademarking it.
Fightful has asked for an official status update on Brooks Jensen from WWE, which went unreturned.
To clear up confusion on Megan Bayne, there had been creative pitches when we reported it a month ago, and many people in the company believed she was still under contract, but that wasn't the case, and those in creative knew it, but the company remained open to bringing her in.. Any future appearances would be on a new deal.
In addition to the UK names Corey Brennan reported were invited to Clash at the Castle, he’s also learned Brady Phillips was also invited.
Lana Austin and Rob Drake Interview Notes
Fightful’s Corey Brennan sat down with Lana Austin and Rob Drake to talk Progress: The Devil On My Shoulder on July 28th, the disintegration of The Lana Austin Experience and more.
When asked about their feelings heading into their match with Skye Smithson and LA Taylor at Progress The Devil On My Shoulder, Lana noted that Skye and LA knew when they joined The Lana Austin Experience that “she was a bitch”. Both Rob and Lana noted their distaste at the pair, blaming Rob for the issues within the faction, and that Skye and LA’s claims that they carried Lana were incorrect. The pair noted that Skye and LA were “idiots” for not continuing to attach themselves to Lana.
When asked if they were each other’s Devil on their shoulders, the pair maintained that they were quite nice, but they both admitted there were times where they influenced each other to do things they shouldn’t. Lana and Rob reminisced at a time Lana told Rob to headbutt someone and it was beautifully violent.
The pair maintained throughout the interview that there would be no more additions to The Lana Austin Experience (although Lana later considered Debbie Keitel). Rob noted that Lana hasn’t needed anyone her entire career, and wasn’t going to start now.
When asked about Progress’ recent Super Strong Style weekend, Lana noted that she was happy to see the women once again steal the weekend like last year, and shares Rhio’s belief that there should be a women’s Super Strong Style tournament in 2025. Rob would note that he had kept a close eye on the proceedings of the Super Strong Style 16 tournament and would later note his desire to step into the ring with tournament winner and fellow brute, Luke Jacobs. When asked about what titles he is targeting in the future, Rob noted the Atlas Championship as a title he wanted to chase, highlighting Axel Tischer as someone he wanted to test himself against.
The pair were not happy at the mention of Progress Women’s World Champion Rhio, with both Rob and Lana chastising Rhio for using The Key to take the championship from Lana. Lana pointed out that if she had done what Rhio had done, she would have been hated by fans for it and accused Rhio of cheating.
When asked about facing off with other couples in wrestling, the pair expressed their desire to face off with Johnny TV and Taya Valkyrie after meeting the Ring Of Honor couple.
When asked about wrestling in Ireland, Rob expressed his desire to come over and face off with Ireland’s best, while Lana noted that she would love to compete in OTT again. Lana also spoke about working with Pro Wrestling Eve but admitted it was hard pretending to be nice all the time, before remembering that she had friends in the promotion like Debbie Keitel and Ivy.
