WWE made the trip overseas to Scotland over the weekend for both Friday Night SmackDown and their Clash At The Castle Premium Live Event, with the crowd being red hot on both nights. WWE would also invite several familiar faces to UK wrestling fans to the pair of events, Fightful Select has learned.

Fightful Select’s Corey Brennan has learned that WWE invited at least 10 names from the UK independent wrestling scene to the pair of tapings to be extra’s and WWE’s guests at the pair of events. Fightful Select has confirmed Damian Corvin, Progress Women’s World Champion Rhio, Aaron Echo, Andy Roberts, Shreddy, BT Gunn, RP Davies, Danny Jones and Mulligan were all invited to the show. We had also heard that there were other names invited, but we haven’t been able to confirm those.

Amongst the talent invited, several partook in extra work, with RP Davies notably being spotted on WWE’s socials helping AJ Styles to the back after his I Quit Match with Cody Rhodes at Clash At The Castle.

As of this writing, we have not heard of any deals being offered to the talent invited, and several of them continued to wrestle on shows over the weekend in Glasgow.

Gabe Sapolsky played a role in organizing and inviting the talent to the show, and has previously scouted talent for WWE.

Triple H alluded to the success WWE extras have gone on to have over the years during the Clash At The Castle post show press conference.

Any talk of a venue for WWE's first Raw episode on Netflix in 2025?

I know Millie McKenzie was in Scotland but wasn’t sure if it was just to visit friends or resuming talks with WWE
