Vaughn Vertigo Interview Notes (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GVzTucAlDXc)

Fightful’s Corey Brennan recently sat down with Vaughn Vertigo ahead of his OTT No Limits Championship challenge on May 12th. You can check out notes from the interview below.

Vertigo told Brennan that he is looking forward to making his Dublin debut and while it is good for him that Renzo Rose refuses to defend his NLW title against Irish wrestlers, he simply cannot understand the thought process behind it.

When asked about his recent hernia injury, Vaughn explained that the hernia was discovered during surgery to remove his appendix and due to not wanting to miss his OTT debut last year, he put off the surgery and continued to work hurt, pushing the hernia back in where possible. Vaughn recalled telling LJ Cleary that he would be tapping immediately to the Irish star’s Liontamer submission, as it was going to be incredibly painful for him.

When asked who in the Irish scene Vaughn would like to face off with in the future, Vertigo named Fabio, Trent Seven and more.

On his alleged Irish blood, Vaughn explained that he knows there is some Irish in his blood but he isn’t sure, noting that he is a mix of “all the white ones” in terms of ancestry.

Speaking of where else he would like to compete, Vaughn named the likes of RevPro wrestling in the UK and Norway as possible destinations where fans can see him next.

When asked about who he feels has the best half and half suplex in wrestling, Vaughn named current Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn’s as the best in wrestling today.

In closing, Vaughn expressed his excitement to finally get the chance to work with Michael Oku in the near future.
