CHRIS MASTERS INTERVIEW (IN THE WEEDS - Originally aired March 27, 2024: https://youtube.com/watch?v=ha0HKDG89_Q)

- Chris lived in Toronto for 2 and a half years because his ex-girlfriend wasn't ready to move to the US at the time

- Chris Masters decided to grow his hair out because he hates haircuts, but also because he likes to evolve as a performer and person. He also made a pact with Thom Latimer when Masters came to NWA to grow their hair long.

- On Masters' relationship with the Colons and WWC, Chris calls Eddie (FKA Primo in WWE) a responsible guy who will be a trustworthy special guest referee for Masters' upcoming WWC Universal Title match against Mr. Rayting on March 30th.

- Chris Masters says he isn't currently a part of the NWA, but things can always change.

- Masters appreciates NWA for giving him a place to work on his character, but felt that Billy Corgan took him for granted and that others were receiving opportunities that weren't working at the same level as Masters.

- Masters says he proved in his NWA run that he could have good matches with anybody, but feels like Billy Corgan didn't see value in that.

- On Chris Masters' negative tweet towards Tyrus, Masters says it was part of the rift between himself and Corgan, but he feels bad that Tyrus became cannon fodder for their disagreements, though he doesn't necessarily take back his feelings towards Tyrus's in-ring abilities (or lack thereof)

- As a kid, seeing WrestleMania 12 live got Masters hooked, especially the Iron Match between Shawn Michaels & Bret Hart

- Chris Masters & Carlito were slated to win the WWE Tag Team Titles at WrestleMania 22, but Masters thinks that the Spirit Squad gaining popularity and turning Carlito heel played a role in that not happening.

- On the infamous Pec Dance in WWE, Masters thinks it was a Brian Gerwitz idea and thought it was fun at first but became overbooked

- On Ring Ka King, Masters says he worked with a lot of green wrestlers from India, but having the opportunity to work with Chavo, Ariya Daivari and others made it great.

- Chris Masters was also initially shocked by the way the Indian men were affectionate and comfortable with each other in a way Americans are not used to seeing.

- Masters puts over D'Angelo Williams, Moose and LA Knight when asked about their Slammiversary 2017 match, but wishes he wasn't as physically limited in the match as he was.

- When asked about his Jewish heritage and working shows like 2econd Wrestling's Mitzvah Mania, Masters doesn't necessarily feel like it would tie in with his character but that it is very important to his personal roots and doesn't shy away from it.

- Masters tells a story about driving across the Australian Outback and getting nervous about getting stranded without phone reception and food.

I'm really wondering if Drew is going to leave or not. If he loses next weekend, I'm going to assume he's gone. Becky and Seth will most likely renew.

I hope Drew and Finn make the jump especially Finn. Dude was so important for the indie wrestling scene and he’s An afterthought in wwe. Hope he can get a good final year or two
