Hey all, TD here with the third dev diary of the Ch4Up3 cycle.
All told we sit at 738 static images, 9 animations, and 24,394 words.
Everything is going swimmingly. We have three significant scenes left for Tuesday, and we'll likely finish them in a timely manner. We hope this will be a two-day update that will include Wednesday, but that ultimately depends on where the calendar is once we wrap up those events. Our goal is more frequent updates, so we'll err on the side of caution if we feel like we'll be pushing things.
As an aside, this is the most fun I've had working on an update in a long time. Part of it is owed to our change in workflow; GIL and I are working a lot more closely than we ever have before, and that's been a blast in itself. But there's also, as previously mentioned, a greater variety of scenes that have kept things interesting. You can imagine how spending a few months toiling away in a black room with different permutations of tied-up Carnations might become a slog.

P.S. Our friend Story Anon recently released Ch.40 of his game Out of Touch. It is a world difference in tone from Pale Carnations, but writing-wise, I find that game a great source of inspiration. Quite frankly, the care and love put into the story is unrivaled, and it deserves a lot more eyes on it than it currently has. So please check it out if you're so inclined.
