Dev Diary 2 (Patreon)

Obviously, thank you for the warm reception. Pale Carnations is a project started as a creative outlet for myself as someone who's been a fan of adult games for more than a decade now. For it to find an audience who enjoys it enough to want to support it is very humbling.

Now for the update. Chapter 2 is going smoothly. We're 430 images deep into this update as of writing this, with 3200 lines in the week 1 script. As a little sneak preview, day 1 will feature a split path where you'll get a chance to get to know one of the Carnations better - gonzo video style! If you're more of a fan of Mina or Hana, don't you worry, you can expect to get to know both of them better in chapter 2.

Additionally, I have (to my surprise) successfully hobbled together a working scene replay system that can be accessed from both the main and right click menu. You'll be able to revisit previously seen scenes with ease. You can see the implementation above.

To close out this diary, I just want to reiterate my thankfulness. The support has elevated the personal fulfillment I find in this as a hobby to a much richer adventure and I hope you'll continue to enjoy our work in the future.
