I appreciate that you liked the Boyz performance more whole-heartedly this time around. I became a fan of them first through this program, so I may have some bias, but it definitely was a little hard to see how upset your observations made you when reacting to the previous episode. I have my own opinion on it, but I think some context on the choreographer we met last episode might help you feel a bit better. My understanding and my assumption is that their choreographer for this season, Mihawk Back, is pretty much their stunt coordinator for RTK. The Boyz have even joked about how he kept giving the member with the red hair, Sunwoo, the stunts throughout their performances, even though he is afraid of heights, which I think just shows his control/their trust in him. As they said he has been prolific in the kpop scene for a while before the show, so I honestly wouldn’t know if he had any hand in creating similar stunts independently, or merely was aware of the stunts you pointed out and included them in their set. I’ve also heard that choreographer had said some not-so-nice things about the Boyz dancing, so I don’t think I like him very much…. I do know that I’ve looked into the moves from that set and even though people noted that they had been done before, I have seen nothing mentioning plagiarism, and with as involved and careful the Boyz are about their performances I highly doubt they knew anything about those moves. I have seen no indication that they were aware if they came from somewhere else. The good news from my end is I haven’t seen anyone mention any other moves in the Boyz sets that seem to have existed elsewhere, and after this season they no longer worked with that choreographer. Obviously that doesn’t mean that you won’t notice something as someone with way more expertise, but I hope to alleviate some of your apprehension, and I hope that you can manage to forgive them and see their next performances with the open mindedness you give to the other groups! The next performance they give is one of my favorites, and I just hope you can enjoy them through the rest of the series!

THIS MAKES ME FEEL SOOOO MUCH BETTER YOU HAVE NO IDEA!!! I did wrap up recording the episode reaction and I was already feeling so much better! I also want to be rest assured that I don't blame The Boyz for those things nearly as much as I blame the ones who are coordinating. Anyone in a position similar to mine as a mentor or one calling shots on behalf of people (like the choreographers you mentioned) have a responsibility to not pull stuff like that.. Simply because it's not fair to those that are the ones that would be getting hate for it.. Moving forward I can't wait to see more and I will definitely be looking at their routines as them working hard ( which I already do!) and I know it's going to be incredible!!!

Finally watched a lot of these and although I started with the intention of ranking aside from Oneus (because I am just way too familiar with their performance here, the song, its other performances, etc. - all extremely my vibe, perfect, wouldn't change a step), I stopped quite soon after. Pentagon's was not my cup of tea song and concept-wise but their group moment was just too precious and I refuse to rank them, that's beyond performance to me. I almost feel like ranking it is disrespectful. 😅 Then, I was just "sure, I'll just rank the rest!" and... I mean, *all* of those performances and songs hit me! Can't lie! I see all your criticisms and points but while watching I felt no negative impact from any of those (valid) points. Unlike previous rounds, there was no weakness or disconnect on my part so I'm just in love with this entire thing. (WHY MUST WE RANK THIS ROUND!!) ETA: The guest feature dancer with ONF was YooA of Oh My Girl and I loved her from Queendom specifically so can't wait until you get to Queendom too. 🙏

I can’t wait until I get to Queendom either!! And I honestly also wished we could just appreciate the work without judging…. Exposure is the key here over winning I wish!
