Sadly you will see Mr Three plagiarise Hittesh Patel again & this time more blatantly. It became a big issue on Weibo so SDC got intouch with Hittesh. Mr Three then wrote an apology on Weibo, he spelt Hittesh name wrong, didn’t apologise for plagiarism but instead apologised for ill-intent & for not letting people know that Hittesh was the original creator of the Choreo & then talked about his “friendship” with Hittesh, which then drew a lot of criticism & backlash on Weibo from fans, & rightfully so. Now every time I see him on screen I just naturally do the stink face 😂 Also keep up the great work! The last 2 part episodes you did a great job at breaking down a lot of the performances & I learnt a lot more about how the impact of culture, concepts & story telling may effect one Choreo.

Wow! thank you for the encouragement! Sometimes I feel that I may be assuming too much in some of the format but you guys have REALLY helped me with how to look at these performances! The feeling is 100% mutual!!

It looks like martial arts but I think Ma Xiaolong took that approach because Go is traditionally a strategy game and often played by military people and the go strategies related to battle strategy? (not an expert here tho haha) The Wind Forest Fire Mountain thing is 風林火山, which comes from Sun Tzu's art of war (. When they mentioned Chinoiserie, listening to Lay's original words in Chinese, I think he just means a Chinese cultural influence, much like a lot of what Lay does, so he is a fan of that. On the question of fairness, I think, there will always be some sus bits of judging. I do think there was some consciousness of needing to pass enough Chinese dancers for the show...so I try not to get bothered by it. It's not fair but I kinda watch the show and take it with a pinch of salt. As long as they didn't elim anyone who deserved to stay... With the comments about "international" choreographers and "Chinese" ones I think it was just really one of the angles the production team was pushing. There are many choreographers in the show who were Chinese who didn't have all those qualities they highlighted (e.g. Eleven)...so for me I see that as a Chinese vs International narrative the production team was pursuing.

THANK YOU!!!! Great insight here and really helps with putting it in perspective!! Over time I know I will get better about not getting so heated in some of these situations but I'm not quite there yet haha!
