Ugh this was such a fun comeback era for them! They were of course one of the 1st kpop groups to do retro again in an era where kpop groups were doing a lot of more dark and "hard hitting" concepts. They even released cassette versions of their 1 of 1 album. This year is when a lot of now popular 4th gen groups were debuting as well. This was their 1st comeback in a hot minute after spending a lot of time in Japan again and working on solo stuff. Other than that, this comeback is really memorable because you could really tell they were having so much fun especially in later performances of 1 of 1. I think Taemin during 1 of 1 was 23 years old so the members were all early to late twenties at this point but yes Taemin especially was so young when they debuted! Hes the same age as some of the oldest members of newer groups debuting around this time. Its crazy to think that some of these idols were/are actual kids doing this job. Its partly ijmpressive but also worrying at the same time. Also quick fact for when you watch the MV later on, you'll only see 4 members dancing in the MV because Onew was injured when they filmed the mv and I think he was still slightly recovering when they first started promoting 1 of 1. He is still in it but you'll see him mostly sitting down for his parts in the MV.

hank you as always for the insight!!! Love it! I also agree that they are super impressive but very worried as an adult seeing that they were so YOUNG in the industry in this way.. Hopefully they are able to have healthy relationships with people despite only having a celebrity life to grow themselves socially.
