Everybody is just too bright and bubbly! I don't know how else to put it. Evil spirits fighting over who gets to rule them is such a cool and dark concept and honestly, if it was executed well with a track that went with it, my personal bias would lean towards it more than any other concept in this round. I'm so sad. I really don't think you are looking at it from the wrong lens. I felt exactly the way you felt watching the performance before you even said anything, so we are not imagining it. 😭 The arrangement is great EXCEPT for the chorus that stayed almost the same, and it's the chorus that deflates the whole new arrangement buildup in my opinion. But I guess if the other contestants love the original chorus, they may bias towards excusing it staying the same just from hype.

I love Everybody as a standalone song and listen to it often, but I can see why it throws a lot of people off + the concept was a bit vague. I think it could have worked better if it had a storyline where they had to defeat an evil king instead of being "dark spirit kings" themselves or something like that to match the song progression better. but then again fuses (onf fans) would have missed out on one of ONF's most iconic styling moments, LOL

OMG I MISSED THIS COMMENT I AM SO SORRY! I 100% agree with you if I just listened to the track I may have felt differently and knowing that they tried a concept but it wasn't reading as effectively, makes sense why I ended up taking it the way I did! ANd their fits are SO COOL! some of the best costumes of the season in my opinion!
