So glad you're finding the S4 format more entertaining so far! They really do a good job showing all the positive vibes on set. A large part of the audience does watch the show for the captains, and Lay and Yibo being super invested helps a lot. I think it's just for episode 1 but there were some major audio syncing issues for the battles. For both 2v2 and 3v3 the dancers were almost exactly 4 beats early compared to the music the ENTIRE time. I vaguely remember watching it when the episode first came out and it was fine. i'm not sure how it got messed up later with the re-uploads. You definitely noticed with the Rochka vs Bouboo rounds when their wordplay was totally off compared to the music 😂 It made Ibuki vs AC's round look super weird as well

Wow, I'm so excited to see you start SDC4!!! The audio sync is so messed up but IIRC it's only this episode, though there are also some issues with blocked music in later episodes (but not as bad as SDC3 on YouTube). Wow, watching this season again brings so many memories. Before I forget, a few things off the top of my head (I may forget a bunch since it is 5 AM for me and I should be sleeping but I saw this in my feed and I knew I had to watch immediately): You asked about Hanyu in part 1 and yes, he was in the SDC6 finals (I remember you asking if he was a music guest, he a bit too much swagger to him). And yes, in Part 1, the trio who danced the Chinese-inspired choreography is from Hello Dance. I apologize in advance, I am absolutely in love with Huang Xiao (the male contestant) so you will hear me talk about him endlessly every episode. He's the founder and main choreographer of Hello Dance and a Jazz dancer at his core but has branched out into many different styles. The lady in red is indeed Yusie from SDC6. There's a bunch of people from Hello Dance, and they all do the blending of traditional Chinese dance and a more modern counterpart exceptionally well. But more on that when we see it. I agree with you on pretty much all the analyses/predictions of the battle results. I had very high hopes for Wang Yibo's 5-person team since literally every single one of them has proven to be a great choreographer on their own, but yeah, they didn't do nearly as well together as they needed to. About Lay/Rei vs Yibo/David - I used to disagree with that result, but now watching it back, you're definitely right, Yibo took it easily. I can't wait for the next episodes to drop! So many great moments in this season!

Thank you for providing more insight regarding Hello Dance! So fascinating and I can't wait to see more Chinese style showcased this season! It's turning into a personal favorite of mine haha!
