At the time this was one of the most expensive choreo in all of Kpop, definitely SM’s most expensive. This song kind of became SHINee’s anthem due to the “SHINee’s back” part. It’s actually a combination of two songs on the album “Clue” and “Note”.

This was such an iconic song and choreo from Shinee and has been much loved throughout all these years. This was their 1st comback after a long stint of promoting in Japan so I remember this being a huge comeback for them and Sherlock was super successful for them. Someone correct me if I am wrong but I believe this was also the 1st kpop group song released to be a combination of two different songs. Not going to lie I even got a bit emotional watching them here for a multitude of reasons but also this was my 1st comeback with Shinee after becoming their fan so Iots of memories with this one! If you have time either during or after the Shinee marathon, I highly recommend watching Shinee's live performance of Sherlock as their opening song for their 2015 Shinee World concert in Seoul. Its a different mix of the combination of the two songs and has parts sung in it that is not in their original performance. Maybe I'm just vieiwng it through rose colored glasses but I stand by the fact that it is one of their best performances I've ever watched, the sheer charisma is incredible to watch. I also have to agree with you on the fringe! As someone who cant stand hair even touching the side of my face, I have never understood it especially when I see idols with fringe over their eyes! Also, it was so interesting to hear what you said about these choreo classes and how they are taught in most places and I never really thought of it that way until now but something I'll keep in mind when watching some of these dance class videos. Btw, it was not DO in that video with the SMRookies, it was Mark that you saw and exo debuted a while before smrookies was officially a thing that SM promoted. Most of the people you'll see in most original smrookies video from a few years ago are NCT members who debuted in 2016 and on.

I felt so silly when I went in the comments of that Rookies video and not a SINGLE exo comment in sight haha! Lesson learned! It was still so fun to watch and see the trainee days for these boys!! And I will have to take a look of Sherlock live for sure! Maybe not in the marathon but when they have comebacks I always love to look at more material and that will DEFINITELY be on the list!!!
