Yeah, Taemin debuting at 14 was a rarity at the time. Taemin actually didn’t want to debut at first because he didn’t feel like he ways ready. Currently in the industry they’ve been debuting young idols more often and 14 no longer seems crazy. I don’t like the idea of debuting idols that young. They may like the idea of being famous but they don’t really know what they’re getting into. A lot of Kpop fans have complained that Mature/Sexy concepts for idols are no longer done in favor of “girl crush” but they’re debuting these new idols so young that they’re not even old enough to be doing those types of concepts (although some companies have them doing them anyway which is a problem).

AGREED.. I don't think I will ever be on board with groups debuting at AGGRESSIVELY young ages! Glad that Taemin is good for the most part despite him debuting SO YOUNG....
