SEVENTEEN MV MARATHON

I'm gonna start answering some questions and giving some fun facts before I forget lol [these might be wildly out of order]: 1. Don't Wanna Cry was filmed in LA, but the desert scene might have been in Vegas, I don't remember. 2. Holiday was actually directed/edited by Wonwoo, hence the home movie vibe! 3. I think Healing was filmed in Australia, I might be wrong it's been so long. 4. Mingyu did do all that work for Snap Shoot, we were very proud. It was filmed in many different places in America during the American leg of their world tour, notably Arizona, LA, and New York, but probably more. The other guys were Tobi Lou (American rapper and Vernon's friend) and Kero One (Korean-American DJ, also Vernon's friend). It was a special anniversary gift. 5. Darl+ing mv is a Peter Pan theme, if you watch really closely you can see all the little hints! 6. I really recommend watching a subbed version of "Smile Flower", not just the lyrics but the dialogue too. It's such a special and emotional song, I think you would really enjoy it. 7. Jun has actually played a vampire before. His last acting job pre-debut was as a vampire in a web drama. I really wish he would do it again. 8. I also recommend reading the lyrics to Trauma, you were right about them feeling genuine, as they each wrote their lines about the different traumas each of them has experienced. 9. During Dream while you were guessing, the members you were missing were Jeonghan and Joshua, the evil twins lol. (Jeonghan was the member at debut with the long hair!) 10. The narrator during the FML teaser was Vernon. 11. S.Coups was 19 and Dino was 16 when they debuted. 12. FML was also inspired by the movie "The Truman Show"! 13. And yes, Coups had already had his surgery when they went to go film the music video for God of Music. I can't wait for the next marathon!

Watching this now and i was about to ne so tragically bummed so many of my favorite songs/mvs were skipped chronologically but you got them at the end thankfully wven though they are all oit of order lol. Also...JON BELLION FAN?! i love to see it. And id love to see your playlist because i wondered what songs you have reacted to that you enjoy listening too in your free time so thanks for answering that question before i even got a chance to ask it. Also they really sent that microphone in god of music into space haha

It's interesting to hear you say Anyone doesn't feel like Seventeen to Carats. I remember you saying it about Ready to Love, which most Carats agree on, but I'm pretty sure Anyone is a fan favorite haha. That was always my general feeling in my Carat circle anway. (It certainly is for me, I'm a sucker for a Woozi anti-drop lol)

JessReacts764

Ah!! Thank you so much for all the fun facts!!! It makes me be able to appreciate these videos so much more!!!!

JessReacts764

Jon Bellion is my genuine favorite producer ❤️ I’ve used so much of his music for my projects so I love whenever I get to talk about him haha 😂 I can also make a fun post of my Spotify playlist after it’s a bit bulkier haha!

JessReacts764

I was probably meaning that the comeback in general during the era between those two stuck out to me because they seemed so different as performers within the dance practice space! I will say I did hear the members prefer Anyone compared to the other one and I can totally understand that!

Lauren Freeman

I’ve been obsessed with him since I heard his album the definition in 2014 and I’ve seen him a couple times on tour. A lot of people love his songs he makes for others but rarely do I hear people talk about him so I LOVE when people know him especially since you have watched his production process. Man is a genius. I’m honestly at a point where I can hear his influence in a song. Like standing next to you, I just heard him all over that track

JessReacts764

That’s EXACTLY HOW I feel I swear 😂😂 when I heard Maroon 5’s track “memories” my Bellion senses were tingling 😂😂 this is incredible!!!

Alissa

Just got to your Hitorijanai part of the reaction and fun fact about the COVID thing, for one of the wins Ready to Love got during 2020 they actually did a sort of encore over Zoom!! It was about as chaotic/funny as you would expect lol

Shelby Moore

One day I’ll get you to know Jeonghan 😂 he’s my bias! I notice in a lot of their tracks where there’s a sort of duet-dance section he is included, and he is also heavily featured in Japanese tracks due to being particularly popular with the Japanese audiences! I’m pretty sure you have consistently named every other member, so being 2 shy isn’t bad at all! Both Jeonghan and Joshua are vocal unit members, so it makes sense why you haven’t caught onto them yet, especially opposed to the other vocal unit members that are a part of other subunits, (i.e. Woozi as one of the leaders and Dk and Seungkwan being 2/3 of BooSeokSoon). Both Jeonghan and Joshua, as the evil twins, really shine in some of their variety content since they are always tricksters trying to get away with things while they play games and such! They are also very close and have a duet called Falling For You, which is very coffee-shop vibes!

JessReacts764

Thank you for your grace in this 😂 I will make it a live goal to find him in the next comeback haha 😂

Shelby Moore

Finally got through the whole marathon! It’s so fun to see your thoughts on their discography, especially connecting tracks you analyzed among some newer tracks you haven’t heard yet! I totally agree that there’s a lot of music videos that, which visually stunning and fun to see for the close-ups, aesthetics, styling, and concepts, I think watching their MVs AND their Choreography is such a must. One of the reasons I was so happy to find your content was because so many reaction channels only cover music videos (which is fair, since there is so much to watch) but miss out on so much from their dancing! If you ever find another time where you feel nostalgic for seventeen’s older choreography and also want to enjoy some time goofing off with them, they have done several “part switch” dance videos that are a whole lot of fun!

Lauren S

I was just listening to my svt mix and I think you missed "Ima - Even if the world ends tomorrow" it's their latest Japanese title track (obviously not your fault, I also completely forgot about it lol)

JessReacts764

Thank you for being a part of the journey with me! Such a joy to watch them all and I feel like we’ve come full circle on so much of it! Excited for their next comeback 🔥

Lauren S

It came on my shuffle and I was like, "wait a minute..."

Shattermirror

Hey! I hadn't had time to sit down for this until now but I'm so glad I waited cause I didn't want to break this up - it was so fun vibing along with you!! (I think it was mentioned but the only ones I think you missed was "ima - even if the world ends tomorrow" and the vocal unit's "chocolate")

Nashly Cruz

Hahaha I’m like halfway through and your commentary / watching back with you is fun I giggled so much how you noticed in their early year music videos the girls are so disinterested in them 🤣 This brought me back in memory lane I’ve been a fan of theirs since I was 14 and I’m 22 going 23 now MAN it’s been a long time ! I loved that you loved thank and watching it with you made me appreciate it much more since you described it so well . It felt isolated yet communal & AHHH I’m really appreciative of that music video definitely one of my favorites as well. Svt are such a fun group I find it interesting they are one of the few ones who don’t necessarily have a connected story line (minus Easter eggs) like other groups. Their entire concept really is made about celebrating youth and the importance of teamwork/friendships they captured that very well 💙💗

Nashly Cruz

Gosh I forgot about part switch!!! I’m going to have to marathon the when I want my spirits uplifted ty for leaving this comment it just reminded me !
