Thanks for the analysis! Juria's MOVE, especially the beginning, never hit as hard for me as the other videos, but I could never put my finger on why. To my untrained eye, I think she seems much more comfortable with her dance by the time that Tippy Toes, Mascara, and MOVE #4 came out and I will be curious to see what you think when you see them. I have wondered if she was just more nervous when filming this - there is a video of her practicing with May J Lee on YouTube and she seemed a lot more connected and like she was having more fun: https://youtu.be/slADcN423yw?si=SKXanQ7Fteeh4bni Oh, when this was released, Juria would have been 17 - she just turned 19 a couple of weeks ago.

Ah! Gotcha! Thank you so much! The camera vs in the classroom hit very differently so I can totally see why it came across that way!Excited to see her doing XG tracks!!

I totally get what you mean when you said 'children have no business in the world of sex.' I feel like my teenage self would have felt like that was a patronizing statement but having lived a few more years and being away from home I understand the difference between what you are saying and someone claiming that children don't have the autonomy for self-discovery. I'm always kind of wary of how girl groups with young members are handled/presented because the public eye is a disturbing space for anyone, but specially, a young girl to grow up and learn about their self-image/worth. I wish the world was different but people are sick. Anyway, I love your analysis of Juria’s move. I felt like I wasn’t quite convinced of her performance when I first watched it. I got the same vibes from her and a few other members with the first few choreos up until their second comeback. For me, I think that the tail end of Mascara promotions and on is when the girls start to have more of an identity when it comes to choreography and they all seem more into the movements (idk if that makes sense lol).

Thank you for your encouragement and support with that perspective. I know I also come from a protective lens on minors anyway because that's who I primarily teach in my day to day. I can also agree with their identity as artists REALLY showed up after Mascara because what they are even promoting now is on the same vain as GRL GVNG, Left/Right, etc. Love it!
