I would love to hear your comments on the translated parts if it will not be too troublesome. I did not expect to get so into SDC, but now those are the reactions I anticipate the most! It is so much fun and so inspiring! Also, I found your reaction to Neguin vs Flying Bug battle totally appropriate, as I was also fuming inside and felt very seen. But it was such a bad call on behalf of Flying Bug, he should have let this chance go.

very fun how you can kinda see public opinion in Chinese shows when certain people start getting commercials you know theyll get further in the show. and ill do my best to find some of the full versions of the choreos like xiexie the red outfit if you havnt already come across it.

I'm really glad to have found you through your SWF2 reactions on YouTube and see that you're reacting to SDC. It's by far my favorite dance competition show. It's TV, so there's always gonna be some popularity bias (especially in later episodes where audience voting starts), but I feel like the judging is a lot more fair compared to SWF/SMF (it did get a bit better in this last season of SWF2). And the battles - there are so many battles! FYI, on the Youku page, they always release a Bonus episode that contains full performance clips with no reactions added in for all the performances they aired, and after some time they will release an All Access episode which is basically everything they didn't air. I am not sure if it's available to non-premium members though. Also, edit, I just wanted to add one more thing. When I said I think that the judging is fairer, I meant for actual judges. The captains are almost 100% always biased in my opinion, but I get it. Captains almost always vote for the dancers from their street/team unless it's a very obvious result otherwise. Sometimes they even admit that they're giving a pity vote on air. But especially in these early rounds, they make calculations about who they think will help them in the long run more. When I first watched this episode, I also felt that Neguin's choreo was weaker, but I knew the captains would vote for him anyway because they know he's gonna be stronger in battles/add a wow factor to group performances for audience rounds than Flying Bug. I can't fault them for taking into consideration the chances of their street/team winning the whole thing.

flying bug took a risk, he knows how the show goes, its not crazy to think that he wanted to leave for whatever reason and squeezed his last chance for screentime and being remembered i get the reason for them to pick neguin, but i just wish they would be open about it and some of these people that chose choreo, leaving the actual choreo people to do freestyle...
