This is one of my favorites from Seventeen! The taps you asked about I'm pretty sure are Thank you in korean sign language. Also the pinky promise I think is part of it. This choreo also spells out THX in the pre-chorus bit. The track prior to this one but after don't wanna cry is a B-side that I think is supposed to be a supplement to Don't wanna cry. I think this is one of the best examples to me of how Seventeen has a theme or motif that they really stick to it in the choreo in a way I don't feel like I see often. I think the Japanese tracks do that particularly well too so excited for those when you eventually get to them. Thanks for the reactions as always!

Your girls ADHD really shines when I get to gush about my special interests with people who care to listen LOLOL so thanks for giving me a forum to do so.

Haha!!! Love that so much 😂 so glad I could be of service. Luckily you have around 30 reactions or so to look forward to regarding seventeen ALONE

Also did a quick google to double check my references to make sure I wasn't talking out of my ass and found this tumblr page that breaks down the sign language seventeen has used in their choreo with sources and examples of the proper usage. It has multiple parts but this one covers the songs you have done up to this point. https://saydaname17.tumblr.com/post/182405632816/seventeen-usage-of-korean-sign-language-part-1

This was their first time working with the Look crew (Choi Youngjun was very busy in 2018 because he got a ton of other offers after his work for DWC) but Hoshi was also involved in the choreo so it still has familiar "Seventeen" patterns and moves.

I’ve been holding out for this one!!! Thanks is such a beautiful piece and from my perspective it really marks a “turning point” so to speak in their stuff! Seventeen is really good at being genuine and retaining their identity even as their concepts change, so I loved seeing you recognize that here! They definitely will be showing more maturity in their future tracks. What I love about it is that all of their “eras” have such great execution and passion, it always feels like they try something new because they want to!

Completely agree! Such a joy going through these eras alongside you guys! It truly makes it more fun!

Actually, you mentioned ankle injuries and stuff and it brought to mind how my bias Seungkwan had an ankle injury in 2019 which meant he had to sit out of the most intense parts of the "HIT" choreo, so they made adjustments to the sections he was in so he could still take part (relatively) safely since he was insistent on not sitting out the entire dance! (Also, he definitely re-injured it at least once/twice more and BTS concert footage shows him getting his ankle re-wrapped in between stages. ^^') The leader S.Coups is currently recovering from surgery after an ACL injury which is why he's completely missing from the God of Music choreo video.

Ah! Gotcha… ankle injuries are NO JOKE.. especially if you don’t wait and not properly heal up your injuryxx
