On my first watch, up until this episode, I was watching for Su Lianya and Bouboo. I was rooting for Team Lit Dragon but mainly because of Lay, not particularly any contestants. I've enjoyed their previous performances but it wasn't anything groundbreaking to the 2021 me. Until Huang Xiao and George's set. I still remember, it was like 4 AM (I was binging like 3 episodes in a row that night), and when I saw the red paint moment right after that gorgeous lift, I screamed at my screen and tried hitting pause and kept smashing the wrong key on my keyboard 🤣 After that, instead of continuing, I went back and rewatched all of his previous sets, and I was mindblown. It's so fascinating how, if we have some preconceptions/expectations from something, we can completely zone out and ignore art right in front of us. Man. Ever since then, I always rewatch any performance at least twice, to make sure I wasn't spacing out or missing out on something important!
