Ugh, watching these types of videos back is always bittersweet to me. Soojin honestly seems so much more carefree and naturally positive here, the whole leaving gidle thing seemed to really have done something to her. She seems more reserved and (even more) toned down in her newer soloist bts stuff. I don’t want to dive to deep into the whole issue, but basically Soojin was accused of drinking, smoking and bullying in middle/high school. As she admitted to the first two, Soojin always denied the bullying accusations. She even took the case to court to prove that she was innocent. But the whole case ruined her reputation and she voluntarily left gidle to not drag them down with her. Months later, her innocence was officially proven, as countless witnesses (teachers, students, friends of the person who framed her) confirmed that the whole thing was just made up. So Soojins story really hurts me and I really hope that she can become happy as a soloist now.

It was nice to see Soojin happy. I haven’t really been keeping up with her solo stuff but every time I see her, she just seems different. So seeing her during this time was nice. I also thought it was really cute when she had Haku with her. Haku is Shuhua’s dog, she had two at the time. As of this year she has 5 dogs, Haku, Mata, Moya, Simba, and Cathy.

5 dogs?! Incredible! I can barely take care of myself and a cat 😂 more power to them! And I’m saddened that the scandals changed her…. It’s such a hard thing especially the fact that it resulted in her leaving her group. That’s really tough 😭😭 I’m hopeful that we can find joy in watching her grow and flourish as a soloist!

This is so heartbreaking to hear and my heart goes out to her! I can only imagine the internal turmoil she felt and how lonely and isolated it can get with situations like this. I’m really hopeful for a happy and healthy Soojin in the future because that is always worth celebrating. Thank you for taking the time to get me more in the loop so I can be more mindful and considerate of the group the closer we get to that time!
