I really consider Oh My God as the full culmination of Queendom for the reasons you pointed out! The similarity with LION and the LATATA remix are definitely there (and also my fav performance you haven't seen yet!) but the track is by no means feel like a "repeat" of any of them. Everything about it completely stands and works on its own. (It's like... if one were to split LION and Oh My God into its sections and label them, you get so many "similar" stuff... but the way they all come together feel wholly different because the whole vibes of the songs are soooo different and their choruses really carry that vibe fully.) I really want someone to award these backup dancers for real. 😭 They are so good every time. I like your take of the song and the way you likened it to Suckerpunch btw, I totally see it! I view it as both external and internal crises - in the sense that there is an external source of "temptation" and the internal crisis that slowly makes the members lose their senses of self in order to "give in". Soyeon has said before that who the "she" in the chorus ("she took me to the sky / she showed me all the stars") is is up to everyone's own interpretation. I can see so many interpretations for it and choose to believe in all of them simultaneously. 😂 My personal favs are definitely (1) the classic forbidden love situation of the external temptation source "she" being someone the POV of the song loves and desires to be with but can't for one reason or another, and (2) an allusion to Eve's bite of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and her subsequent convincing to do the same (so, the POV is almost Adam? Or maybe even just "humanity" in general who now possess the knowledge of the fruit since, well, Adam *was* the rest of humanity at that point). (I know you are Christian yourself and this reading may be a little irreverent so I hope you take no offense. 😅 I'm an atheist myself but grew up around Sunni Muslims and Orthodox Christians in the family so I've definitely absorbed so many different versions of Abrahamic religious stories. I love to read about all the different interpretations and allegories around them. For example, in the Islamic tradition, although eating from the forbidden tree -it's called Tree of Immortality in this version- does cause the expulsion of Adem and Havva from paradise, it's not punishment and it's not considered a sin. Besides, there is no element of Havva tempting Adem - they are both tempted by Shaitan together and eat it together. Their expulsion from paradise to live and die is instead framed as Allah, forever forgiving, allowing them to experience the fullness of Him and His creations, if that makes sense? It's definitely not what's in this song though since the temptation and sin is a huge part of the track's lyrics. 😅) The additional Latin in the MV is "Ab imo pectore" meaning "from the bottom of my heart" so it can give weight to both these interpretations (and more) in my opinion. I just love the song so much.

No offense taken at all! I love the fact that we are able to have such deep and vast conversations with respect to each other's differences! Means a lot in this specific regard! Can totally see each perspective and theory proven here. I find it even better that it still isn't "verified" even after all this time which I think makes it all the more fascinating! Some of the MV textile choices were WILD in the commitment (mud and being drug away was such a vibe haha) and it made me so captivated at how they wanted to go about the visuals! The dance made me understand a different way to balance a routine without going overboard on formation changes on the dancers' behalf which was fun for my brain to learn! Your favorite should be coming up in the next couple weeks!
