Yes! Finally! Thunderous! Thank you for reacting to this. One of my favorite choreographies. When I went to the Stray Kids concert in July of 2022 with my niece, Stray Kids had to cancel the concert because a couple of the members tested positive for COVID, so we were stuck in Atlanta with no concert to go to. No worries though, STAY banded together and instead of complaining about the disappointment, they held a Random Dance session and danced to many k-pop hits. But my fondest memory of that day was watching my niece participate, and she nailed the Thunderous choreography. So every time I hear this song, I’ll always think of her and remember that disappointing, but yet awesome day. The concert was rescheduled to March 2023, so we eventually got to see them… and their performance to this song was UNBELIEVABLE!! I just had to share a little bit of my personal connection to Thunderous, sorry. Lol.

OMG it took me days to come back to write a comment. I had actually watched it asap, just hadn't collected my thoughts and got distracted. 😂 As I said, I was and am still obsessed with this song and all its performances. Even its radio performances pack so much energy and I love it. It's my favourite type of flex track, the "get my name out of your mouth" kind. 🤣 (This and I-DLE's Uh Oh are so addictive in that vibe.) The complexity starts right out the gate with the combination of English and Korean names: Thunderous vs. 소리꾼 / sorikkun. The Korean word can be translated as "singer" into English, it is the title for singers of Pansori (a specific storytelling music genre with a storyteller accompanied by a drummer). But if you pull the characters apart (so ri + kkun), it can also be transliterated as "sound maker/sound expert". Thunderous claps back at the common criticism about SKZ's music - that it's too "noisy" and not real music. So, starting from the title, SKZ is fully going "yes, we are loud, we are unabashed, we are thunderous, we are the experts at this and we are legends for it"! (The album being titled NOEASY, aka not-easy + noisy, is also building this up.) UGH it can take hours to dissect every line one by one and I'm not the best person to do that so I won't but just to bring the point home: That's why the English line "I'm not sorry, I'm dirty" hits SO HARD. I'll quote a NME review write-up: "“[Its] message… is that Stray Kids, as sorikkun (or singers), will face off against the jansorikkun ( or “naggers”) and confidently let our sound [loose],” explained Bang Chan, who once turned the tables on an anti-fan who termed their music as “construction noise”. And it’s clear that they mean business: “Man I’m not sorry, I’m dirty / Keep on talking, we don’t play by the rules”, he and Felix both defiantly maintain in the one-two English punchline at the chorus’ end (with “sorry” being a homonym of ‘소리’, sori, or ‘sound’ in Korean)." It's just... what a flawless execution of *everything*. It fires on every cylinder, it's relentless, it's not sorry, it's dirty..................... (By the way, if we ever get an NMIXX marathon, I have to share with you their cover of this because AGAIN, PERFECT. 😭)

This one was SUCH A VIBE and I LOVED getting to look at it in this way! Very enjoyable and everything you stated makes me enjoy the lyricism so much more! I love a good clap back and they brought the SOUND!!! I personally like their genre of music but I also come from an appreciation for rock so it's a smidge nostalgic on my end. They have a HUGE following compared to most kpop groups so it must not be THAT noisy haha..
