Stray kids is a self produced group since debut about 99% of their songs are written/arranged by the member there is a production group 3racha bangchan, changbin, and han. Lee know is the group leader and main dancer before stray kids he was a backup dancer for bts and I believe a choreographer too. Bangchan did handpicked all the members they were not put together by jyp bangchan was a trainee for 8 years and the member who left named was woojin there is a lot of drama around that former member that is still unknown but bangchan has stated that stray kids is a 8 member group and always will be. The members are bangchan, lee know, changbin, hyunjin, han, felix, seungmin, and i.n( in age order).

Thank you so much for this introduction! I also know this one and the next one I’ll be looking at was a part of a survival show right? And I will probably be studying the members faces and names in hopes I recognize them quicker haha! And love that they get to produce all of their work! Excited to see more of their iconic choreographies in the future!

I'm excited to go on this crazy ride of SKZ!!! I did some digging for myself and saw that Lee Know is the Dance Leader and Bang Chan is the Leader Leader !! I hope to REALLY know their names and faces a lot faster this time compared to other groups haha! Let's get it!

Maybe in more recent videos people have already talked about it so I'll just summarize shortly: The context of polishing Hellevator to be a SKZ track with its own MV and routine was within a JYPE survival show leading up to their debut. So, while 3racha do compose, write and produce much of it (and Lee Know has his hand in choreographing things), they do need to turn around and justify their choices to JYP himself. In fact, when they first showcase Hellevator to JYP, the line distribution they had was slightly different (and therefore the choreography as well). JYP was not satisfied with Lee Know, Hyunjin and I.N.'s vocals if I recall correctly and JYP decided Lee Know and Hyunjin would take over some rap verses and give away some vocal parts. I think this is a pretty good example of how they self-produce at least in their first years: They do create things from the ground up, but they are not given free rein in releasing everything the way they initially planned to. (Hell, the survival show they had pre-debut basically included Lee Know and Felix getting kicked midway through so they refit the 9-people tracks as 7-people tracks too and then at the very end as a finale run JYP brought LK and Felix back and arranged for there to be both a 7-people showcase and a 9-people showcase... so they re-arranged Hellevator back to 9-people. You can imagine how much turmoil there is creatively. 🙃)

THIS sounds legit miserable.. Bless them for having to go through that. I also noticed that with 3RACHA, they had to advocate for themselves with their choices within Kingdom LW and I talked about that interaction briefly there! SO interesting the overlap that you mentioned!
