Your explanation about the lighting and camera directing made so much sense, and really put into perspective why some performances kind of drew me out for a bit. As for those square lights, I completely agree and would totally sign that petition you proposed.

Can I just say THANK YOU for not sleeping on SF9! I think I’m terms of the discourse surrounding the budgets and fairness and unfairness, there’s a lot getting lost from the show. The truth of the matter is, there are some MAJOR fandom number discrepancies and as much as I think ATZ, TBZ, and SKZ are absolutely front runners as we go through it, I think people are missing that some of these older artists are more concerned with maintaining their authenticity and showcasing things they *want* to showcase rather than playing games with how flashy they can get. I adore all of these groups, but I personally agree with you in seeing the disconnect in stray kids stage here, it felt like a lot thrown onto something that wasn’t super clear? I even felt like The Boyz could have had a stronger set, and I really pull for them. I also think that, yeah there were some communication issues and several groups were undercut due to issues with how they were able to execute their visions in the space and with the resources they were given- all of them are moving from practice spaces to this stage, which appears to have a different set up than even the last kingdom show. I absolutely blame mnet for a lot of the little errors that really mess with the clarity of performances in a big way, but acting like the other groups didn’t stand a chance because larger groups had it better is missing the point- we should still be talking about ALL these groups performances, and I do think fans let the arguments about budgets and fairness (while inequality and mistreatment is ABSOLUTELY important to talk about) get in the way of their ability to celebrate these groups! SF9 were absolutely disregarded here in my opinion when they have one of my FAVORITE performances of this whole show. I think every single one of the groups shine in at least one of their performances!

SF9 just became my Oneus of the season. I am rooting for them HARD and I hope that each stage of theirs gets better and better! Goodness some of the lighting was INCREDIBLE!

그리하다 is by far BTOB's most beloved song - this is the ballad version of Ring Ding Dong, everyone and their grandmother knows of this song and even half of them know the fanchant, not just Melody. Loosely translated, it's called Missing You. One of the lyrics in the chorus is "a whole day has passed since I missed you, a whole year has passed since I missed you" - it's a very cyclical kind of song. I agree that the general audience needs to be able to pick up on a concept without anyone explaining it - did any of the groups do it terribly well? Some yeah, others no. Once I go back and look at this performance again with Melody eyes, the dead trees in the back make more sense - it's that creeping realization that nothing has changed and only time has moved forward. A year later, you're back in the winter. Also there is a VERY good reason they didn't use confetti at the beginning - Eunkwang is a MAGNET for this stuff. Particularly in his mouth. There have been points where he's almost choked on confetti while trying to sing. It's kind of a running gag in the fandom - if there's confetti, at least one piece is going to end up in Eunkwang's mouth.

Part of me wants to see Eunkwang SPARKLE in confetti 😂😂 just to see this in action you know 😂 and I understand with the song a lot more! Thank you so much for the clarification! Their vocals are always top tier so anything they add to that is just icing on the cake!
