Hello all!

I made a quick video that has been a long time coming. These last few years have been incredible for me and I wanted to express just how important you, as patrons, have been for me, and how I think patreon is enabling a really cool model of comic creation.

This sounds cheesy, but is nonetheless true- I love what you're doing, and I'm pleased and even proud to be able to contribute in some (individually small) way. Strength to your drawing muscles!

This is a big milestone. Im sure there are many reasons why others support you, there are innumerable reasons throughout history why individuals have supported the creation of art. For me, the world your creating is fantastical, and one I hope to see for many years to come. At one time in my life I did tons of artwork that would feel right at home inn the world you've shared with us....but to you point. I didn't finish art school. I couldn't see a world where I could sort the lifestyle I wanted simply with art. I grew up. Stitched majors to engineering and now enjoy a stable career with everything that comes along with that sacrifice. I however have never forgotten about the importance of art. Creating, sculpting, welding, painting, fixing old machines...in my leisure time I try daily to impose my own sort of order on the inescapable entropy of the universe. I build old cars, and enjoy the same creative rush trying recreate a missing bracket, or restoring a long gone finish to a part. The one thing I don't did anymore is draw. I leave that to you and other infinitely more talented artists than I ever really was, and I support you through this app because I hope that you can continue to create.

I am glad to be able to support your work. Patreon and Kickstarter have created a revolution in independent creativity, and it has been a wonderful thing to watch. And thanks for telling us that you're still getting more income out of Patreon than out of your book deal - that sort of information is actually pretty useful. And seriously, your work is amazing.

We are in a golden age of incredible unique comic, book, game, etc art made possible by the likes of Patreon and Kickstarter, and the ability for anyone to easily publish content online. It's awesome to get access to stories and content that could not exist with only traditional publishing, and even more awesome that creators can have the ownership, control, and ability to actually make a living doing what they love.
