My pussy, my ass, my whole body glows in a post-climactic glory.  Needless to say I was not accustomed to so many orgasms had so close together.  So much pleasure coming so swiftly was something I could not have been prepared for.  Like most guys I was usually one and done for a while.  Being a woman no doubt had its challenges but on this they had us guys beat by a mile.  I lay in my happy haze recuperating and just basking in the glow.  My head is still buzzing as I hear Danny bid farewell to William and the front door slam shut soon after.  Beyond the low sound of a television show the house was otherwise silent.

Danny said that William was waiting for me.  If I knew the big guy he was probably waiting to take me home.  Old fashioned gentleman that he was one-night stands weren’t really his thing.  If not for a few stubborn demons I had no doubt that William would be happily settled and married by now.  I roll out of bed and onto rubbery legs.  Picking up my sweater along the way I head to the washroom to freshen up and clean up a bit before putting it on and heading out into the attached living room, dining room, and kitchen area.  William sits at one end of his long sofa watching an old spaghetti western.  It was just him and I now.  This was a lot more intimate than the raunchy party atmosphere that I meant this night to be but that was probably for the best with him.  On the bright side I could now drop the facade.

“Whoo!”  I say.  “Quite a night.”

“Sounds like it.”  He smirks.

“Damn.  It’s three already?  Time flies.”  He watches me with guarded eyes as I make myself at home and help myself to a beer from his fridge.  “Danny says he’s going to call me for a morning workout?  I don’t think that’s happening.”  I crack the can and take a pull before flopping down beside him.  “You know what?  The guys are better than I thought they’d be.  God damn.  I’m still shakin here.”  I shoot him a teasing glance and impish grin.

He shakes his head and laughs.  “Alright, who the hell are you?”

“I told you bro, it’s me.  It’s Alex.”

“Uh huh.”  He says, entirely unconvinced.  “I’d say you were a hooker he hired but…”  He looks down the smooth bare shapely legs sticking out the bottom of my sweater.  “…I know he couldn’t afford someone like you.  Come on, what’s the deal?”

I shrug and take a sip.  “Call him yourself.”

“I would, but you’ve got his phone.”  He studies me, his eyes searching for clues.  “He trusted you with his phone and password.  And you clearly know him well enough to pick up on his mannerisms and hear some of his stories and turns of phrases.”

“Clearly.”  I quip.

“Are you a new girlfriend?”  He glances back toward the hall that lead to the bedroom.  “No, he wouldn’t let you do that if you were.”

“You’re right about that.”

“Then who in the hell ARE you?”

I laugh.  “I don’t know how many ways I can answer you.  It’s me, Alex.  That bitch Candace turned me into…this.”  I look down at my long elegant hand, turning it over a few times to look it over.  “You’ve heard of werewolves?  Well, I’m a werewoman.”

“Fuck off.”  He waves.

“It’s true.  Go ahead, test me.  Ask me something.”

“Nah, I’m not playing this weird game.  Just tell me.”  He says.  “I doubt your name is really Alexis, so what is it?”

“Alex.”

“You really know how to stick to a role, I’ll give you that.”  He huffs.  “Fine.  If you won’t tell me I’ll just have to beat it out of him.”

“In your dreams grunt.”

He tilts his head, the comment taking him aback for a second, then prods.  “Come on.  The truth.”

I take another drink and let out a slow sigh.  The truth.  He wanted the truth.  That was something I would not deny him.  Sometimes friends weren’t simply friends.  Some bonds could not be broken.  Sometimes brotherhood went deeper than blood.  I swallow as I chose my next words carefully.

“I know your favorite sound is the is brrrt of an A-10 on a strafing run.”  I say, my voice soft and somber.  His smile fades, his thick brows furrow in puzzlement as he wondered if he’d just heard me correctly.  I continue.  “I know about the scars on your right leg and hip.  And I remember how you got them.”

“What the fuck?”

“Dahaneh, 2009.”

His face falls.  The good humor in his eyes go dead cold.  “Okay, I think we’re done here.”  He turns off the television and tosses the remote to the side of the sofa.  “If you need a ride…”

“Those fucking rats were hid on the roof of that school.  All clear my ass.”

His big fists ball up tight.  I knew he wouldn’t hit me but he was getting ready throw me out of his house on my sexy ass.  I had to make my case quickly.

“This isn’t funny.”  He warns.  “I don’t know what the fuck Alex thinks he’s doing here but…”

“That fucking medic.”  I let out a bittersweet laugh.  “Kept calling you Little Billy even though he knew you hated that.  He was trying to get a rise out of you.  Keep you awake.”  I could hear the echoes of that time, all shouting and gunfire.  I could taste the parched dust in my mouth, I could smell the acrid smoke in the air and feel that hell hot Afghan sun bearing down on me.  In front of me, as clear as the room I now sat in, I could see that mud wall we were hunkered down behind and the stark empty alley beyond it.  But most of all I remember the fear.  Not fear for myself but fear of what was happening off to my left as I stood watch.  My best friend had been tore up, bleeding out, and all I could do was stand and listen as I watched an abandoned alley for an enemy that had long since ghosted.

He stares at me, not believing what he was hearing.  I could see the hurt in his eyes.  That stab of betrayal through his beating heart as he thought his best friend had shared this shit with a stranger.

I take another drink, this time because I needed it, and carry on.  “I remember the medals they pinned to our chest…after that IED…after Ricky.”  I set the can down on the coffee table and say a silent prayer for our lost brother.  “And I remember the bridge we tossed those motherfuckers off of.”

“Enough.  Who in the hell are you lady?  Alex would NEVER have told you…”  He grits his teeth and swallows the rage filled words he wanted to say.  “What the fuck is going on here?  I want answers.”  His low rumbling tone threatened violence.  Had this been anybody else I would have been terrified, especially any other dude as big and tough as him.  “Tell me what is happening.  Now!”

I look into his eyes.  Starting at the beginning I lay it out for him.  I tell him about us meeting at boot camp.  I tell him about all the trials and tribulations that made us inseparable there.  I tell him about our joy when we learned we’d been assigned to the same company and about the trip and settling into Camp Leatherneck.  I tell him about some of our patrols, getting into stupid and trivial shit that only someone who had been there could have known.  And finally I describe what had happened that night after I left the bar.  I tell him about my connection with the moon and the feeling coursing through my veins.  I tell him about the innate knowledge of my condition and how Candace had done this to me.  As he listens with rapt fascination I play every card I had until he had not other option but to fold.

“Shit.”  He mutters when I was at last done.

“Yeah.”  I say.  “It’s pretty fucking wild.”

He sits there in silence for a long time, staring at me as if he might be able to see Alex hiding beneath the mask of Alexis, as the reality settles in.

At last he speaks.  “So your first instinct after this life changing event…was to come and fuck your friends!?”  He laughs and slaps my leg.  “Yeah, that sounds like the Alex I know.”

I laugh along with him.  “Hey!”  I grab my tits.  “I had to take it out for a test drive.”

His laughter gets louder.  “Harry definitely gave you that and more!”

I cross my arms and grumble.  “What an asshole.”

Thumbing back toward the bedroom, his chuckles intensifying.  “No wonder you knew how to get to Ernest.”

“I gave him the woman of his dreams.”

“Ha ha ha!  And Danny!?”  He guffaws, busting a gut.  “Give me your cum Daddy!?”

“Shut up!”  I blush three shades of pink and elbow him hard in the ribs.  “I got…caught up in the moment!”

He laughs and laughs.  “I guess so.  Yes Daddy!  YES!  HA HA HA HA!”

“SHUT UUUUUP!”
