A digital .blend file that contains an improved tapering version of the default Blender grease pencil ink pen brush and .mp4 tutorial

A digital .blend file that contains an improved tapering version of the default Blender grease pencil ink pen brush. Improving stylized linework control in indie 3D modeling and animation.

After being familiar with photoshop and clip studio paint for illustration, it irritated me that the tapering towards the end of the stroke line for the default Blender grease pencil ink pen brush came off too unnaturally round so I changed a few settings regarding auto smoothing and the brush settings curve that might help it seem more natural of a transition. Hope it helps!

You can open and draw straight into the .blend file through Blender or append the brush (see cover). Results may vary depending on your pen pressure settings.

*3/26/2023 - I have added a tutorial video .mp4 explaining the process of changing the brush settings! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xWdEFUI8CSg&ab_channel=Musubibi

*4/2/2023 - Version 2 has been added, Version 2 adjusts 'Advanced' settings by tweaking the smoothing and input samples to make the stroke less jittery and toothy between vector points on strokes that require harsh curves, reducing the digital 'look' to it as it tries to connect the vector points. 'Post-processing' still remains off. There are still enough vector points to be manipulated with sculpt or edit mode. The angle of which your pen gives maximum width to your stroke has been adjusted to 0 degrees which is perpendicular to your tablet. https://youtu.be/l2gn6fZhfa4

12/29/2023 - I have checked compatibility with 4.0 and haven't seen any issues with opening the blend files from 3.6 to 4.0. There wasn't any big changes to Grease Pencil by the Blender Foundation as originally anticipated during Winter 2023.
