Firstly, thank you all who've continued to support me. I'm well aware most of you didn't sign up for occasional pictures of my chapter headings, and I'm grateful for both your patience and your support.

Today, in addition to showing you how much progress I've made (and how long volume 2 became), I'd like to show you parts of my script to give you an idea of the direction and the quality of storytelling you can expect from me.

From Volume 1, Chapter 1, an early scene introducing the male protagonist, brother to Princess Kali, with whom you're already familiar:

-

One then from Volume 1, Chapter 3, in which we learn a bit about Eliya's past leading up to the events depicted in the comics I've posted so far:

-

Thirdly, a scene from Volume 1, Chapter 5, in which we kick off the journey which will take our heroes from the frozen south to the tropical northlands and back again:

-

And what of Inica? She's central in nearly all my art (and in my Fanbox banner), yet she's not even been mentioned in the scenes I've shared so far. During the events of volume 1, she is largely separate from the rest of the cast and rejoins them at the end as they plan their journey:

-

You may have picked up a far more melancholy tone than the carefree eroticism of the existing comics might imply. The reason for that is in the worldbuilding I did to connect the dots from Inica's first journey which I wrote almost 10 years ago. What became of her, and her friends? How did she come to be an erotic dancer after returning from a heroic journey with a goddess by her side? What sort of nation must Amara be for this to occur? Where have all the men been?

For the few of you who've read Queenslayer, think of that text as a retelling of a retelling, twisted and embellished with time and distance, preserving an important detail here and there. Effectively that's what it was, as I wrote it when I was 19 with a far looser grasp on storytelling than I've gained in the decade since.

For those who haven't read it, which ought to be the majority of you, don't worry: I'm writing this comic to be entirely standalone, with implications of past events and flashbacks provided as necessary. If you read attentively, you'll likely be able to piece together a much more compelling backstory than the one I actually told in 2013!
