great work I am new to this but what do i do with the eye file and body overlays? do i keep them in same folder as the char cards?

If the character card works properly, then no extra steps are required to use it.

Just subbed, I'm using the cards in Koikatsu Sunshine and I can't adjust the "skin type strength." Whenever I save it, it sets to whatever I save it as but the next time I load the card it appears at 100 intensity though the bar is still set to the same value. If I see the character in game, the intensity still appears as 100 and not as whatever value I set it as. This is giving me some extremely dark skinned and tough looking Colleis and Laylas. Am I missing a plugin?

I haven't used Koikatsu Sunshine, so I don't know what to do with this version of the game, maybe you can try to modify them in the material editor.
