Mizuha final* main update (Pixiv Fanbox)

Hello!

It has been exactly 2 weeks since my last update on Mizuha, and I've been working nonstop to finally finish this busty girl. I've ran into several issues but I finally can say that I'm done with her*.

Let's compare the old and new version:

1. Big ribbon

Previously I had used a flat-looking ribbon for her ponytail, this time I modeled a ribbon that like in Takeda sensei's work is more thick, like it is made of rope instead of a flat string, I also added those balls near the tips. Removing the ponytail, it looks like this:

2. Collar with ribbon

Instead of using a choker, I created a collar that is tied on the front with a nice ribbon, in this case, I decided to add (not on the mod itself) a wood texture so it looks like in the manga.

3. The sleeves

For this I basically just edited an already existing clothing piece, the "Futaba sleeves" by Nep. I tweaked a bit the mesh and also redistributed the UV map around.

The picture above, well... it shows most of her body, but please look at the sleeves.

4. The bra

This is one that I REALLY wanted to improve, because the original version is one of my first attempts at creating clothing mods, so now that I've acquired some skills, I think I can make it look a bit better.

I started by improving a bit the part that covers the nipples (I don't know how those are called), making it so it has a small opening on the top instead of just cutting part of the texture. I also improved the strings that hold them, making them thicker like rope and also adding a small ribbon that holds the bra together, however, this small ribbon is not attached properly to the string so it only stays in place when Mizuha is standing still. This bra does not work properly on girls with flat chests.

For the half state I just modified the texture so there are heart shaped holes on the nipples.

5. The fundoshi

One of the most complicated mods I worked on, however compared to when I first tried to create it, improving it was easier because I already knew what to do. I started working on the string, making it thicker, modeling this I learned a pretty cool technique on Blender that simplified the process quite a bit. Next was adding the side and front ribbons, which was basically just re-using the one I used for the collar. For the underwear itself, I moved the mesh around so it looks like it is wrapping the string. Finally the most difficult part, the hanging cloth, which had to be done from scratch, after some heavy work, I can finally say it works properly (you might have to play with the skirt sliders to avoid some clipping).

This piece of clothing also includes a half-state, but I forgot to take pictures, sorry about that! Here you can see that you can remove the ribbons in case you don't want them.

6. The socks

I added string and ribbon instead of just drawing them as textures, you can turn them both off in case you want to do so.

7. Armpit hair

This one is a bit of an extra, and that is because the result looks bad, at least to me.

You can see that a "slice" of the texture looks blurry, this is sadly something that I currently have no idea on how to fix, and that is because the original mesh for the body has this issue exactly on this zone.

Find the armpit hair under the Suntan category.

and of course, it is colorable.

The whole outfit is colorable, so feel free to pick the best colors for it without worrying about modifying the textures.

This Mizuha project I got myself into, is something I was (and still am) really passionate about, I really love the character design, and, of course, the outfits. Thanks to the support of all of you, I was able to get into it, keep learning and improve, your support not only comes in the form of those monthly $5 you give to me, but also in those little messages of encouragement some of you've sent me, I really appreciate those a lot.

I hope Takeda sensei can see my work and hopefully likes it. This is just a silly wish because my work is on Koikatsu, but I guess I can still dream.

About releasing Mizuha

With this result I can finally say I'm done with Mizuha as I said at the begining of the post, and that also means I'll be releasing the card publicly on Friday (December 23rd), I have exceeded by almost 4 months the 2 weeks I said would take me to release this for free, this was the result of me having several errors when modding the clothes and accessories into the game, and to be honest, delivering constant updates to thousands of people can be troublesome, so now, after using you as my test subjects, I can finally post this for everybody to enjoy.

Future updates for Mizuha?

I'm not abandoning Mizuha completely, I want to work on one little more thing for her and that would be her sword, but I think I want to leave that for another time, maybe a couple of weeks.

So, what's next?

I want to work on Kosaki, who, coincidentally, is getting a full manga in the coming weeks, this was announced on Takeda's Fantia, go check it out. But before doing that I'll be taking a bit of a break, about 2 to 3 weeks to rest a bit from the game, I've been spending a lot of time on Koikatsu and to not get completely burnt out, I want to enjoy the upcoming holidays and return revitalized to Koikatsu. I'll understand if you take a break from supporting me, but if you keep supporting me, you'll have my deepest thanks.

So no updates no new content for almost a month?

I'll be releasing a commission I've finished a couple of weeks ago, so you can look forward to that, the character is Shiho Nishizumi.

I still have to get some better screenshots, to finally release her, so when I'm done with that I'll be posting her directly on my Pixiv.
