Hello!

Today I would like to share a bit of my process and progress of working on Mizuha's helmet.

I start with the 3D head model of Mizuha and the base helmet accessory found in Koikatsu.

I remove the visor because it won't be helpful.

Switching to edit mode.

I select half of the mesh. (Using X-ray mode to grab every single vertex)

I delete it.

Now I can start working.

Next is a huge time skip, I forgot to take screenshots... sorry!

I have adjusted the helmet to not clip Mizuha's hair and take the basic shape required, I also modeled the teeth of the shark.

At this point I have modeled the eyes and white part of the helmet, so I start modeling the shark's fin. I use Mizuha's head with the helmet as a reference.

I continue shaping it.

This is what I have until now, and I think I can finish it by the weekend.

Tell me if these kind of updates are interesting to see and if you would like to see more of them.

The tool I used to export Mizuha's head is SKLX-creator for ILLUSION games, a pretty amazing tool that you can use to get the 3D model outside of Koikatsu and into Blender. I've used it this time because from what I know, there's no way to make a head accessory match exactly a character's head shape other than just adjusting the scale sliders and that can result in hats or helmets that look disproportionate when comparing it to the head.
