I realized that many people might not know you can actually view my works in full VR, thanks to a special mod for Koikatsu! However, you do need a few things to make it work.

•A VR headset (Duh!)

•An installation of Koikatsu. Koikatsu can be purchased on Steam here, or obtained in other ways. Koikatsu Sunshine or Emotion Creators WILL NOT WORK.

•The Koikatsu HF Patch. The HF Patch can be downloaded from here.

•One of my scene files. I distribute my scene files to my Kindergarten-tier supporters in dropbox links.

This mod.

1) Starting with a clean Koikatsu or Koikatsu Party installation, download and run the newest Koikatsu HF Patch. This will install most of the mods and plugins required to properly view my works.

2) Download and install the CharaStudio VR mod linked above. To install it, simply extract it into the base Koikatsu installation so that it overwrites some files.

3) Download one of the scene files for my works. Normally, you would need to be a Kindergarten-tier supporter to get access to these files, but for this guide, I'm providing a simple example scene here. Scene files look like very low resolution png images that show a screenshot of the scene they contain.

Place the scene file inside \UserData\Studio\scene in your Koikatsu installation.

4) Launch Koikatsu. Your launcher should look something like the following (It may have a different background image). If it does not, you may not have installed the HF Patch correctly.

5) Without your VR headset connected, click on Start Studio. After Studio has time to load, you should see a screen similar to the following.

6) Click on System -> Load. This should open up a menu of all your installed scenes, which should include the scene you downloaded in Step 3. Click on it, and then click Load. Depending on your PC specs, this may take a moment. Afterwards, if everything is working correctly, your screen should look like the following.

If there were no errors, you're basically all set to go. If some errors appear in the top left corner, or if your scene looks different from the above, you may be missing some mods or plugins. If a scene contains an animation, press Alt+T to start the animation (The example scene does NOT contain an animation). Once you've verified everything works, close Studio entirely.

Now to test the actual VR function. Connect your VR headset, and allow Steam VR to start. Once it has, you may re-open Studio in the same way as Step 5 of the set-up. If everything goes correctly, it should appear in your VR headset.

Controls inside here are different for every system, but one button should cycle through the following functions:

•Jump: When holding the trigger, create an arc. When you release the trigger, teleport to the end of the arc.

•Menu: Represented by a gear icon. When you press the trigger, the menu will show up above your controller. You can use your other controller, or your actual mouse, to click around on this menu. The UI is the same as non-VR, just more annoying to use.

•Movement: When you hold down the trigger, you grab the entire "world" and move around you. This allows you to move around much more precisely than the Jump function. You can also use the directional keys to turn yourself.

From the blank screen, you can access the menu and load a scene in the same way as Step 6. Once it loads, congratulations! You are now viewing my scenes successfully in VR.

NOTE: Oftentimes you will start in a weird position away from any of the action. In this case, you will need to use the previously-mentioned movement functions to reposition your viewpoint until you have a satisfactory viewing angle. Additionally, many scenes feature visual effects that are designed for specific viewing angles, and will get in the way of your VR experience. These can simply be hidden using the Workspace window, by toggling the green checkbox next to the item(s) in question.
