Evening all, Scriptor here with the latest dev newsss!

Game development

I’ve wrapped up the last few images for the cowgirl escape sequence, now moving onto the attached hucow fail-state: Gotta say I’m not unhappy as to how the escape sequence turned out, especially considering the amount of grain issues the scene turned out to have. All-in-all the sequence is about ~55 images long with all the different branches and options, which sees Kathleen stumbling around and trying to use all sorts of items to free herself, including some she could’ve maybe better left alone... 😏😉

I’ve also made a start with the hucow suit Kathleen will find herself in (if she doesn’t manage to escape the cowgirl’s clutches) today. It’s a bit rough now, but in the coming day(s) I’ll be refining it more and more into something worthy of a shiny heifer. I’ll (try to) have some teasers of it (and if possible the barn scene where the bad end will take place) ready this Wednesday! 💪

A tight squeeze! (Comic project)

On the comic front; I’ve started with the images of the fourth chapter for the Lara snake comic; which will be taking place a few years after chapter three: I don’t want to spoil too much of it (yet), but needless to say that during the intermission between these chapters there have been some significant developments in the story… Let’s just say it’s gotten quite busy in the ruins Lara and the snake queen inhabit, and that a familiar face is coming to the “rescue”! >;D

No E.T.A. yet since I’ll be working on the project during the weekends (since No escape takes priority), but I am pushing to get it done in a timely manner. In total I’ve got two scenes planned for the final chapter, with the one I’m currently working on being the first. Expect (semi) periodic updates while I’m pumpin’ out the images! 💪

Onto the teasers!

Teasers

More teasers of the cowgirl escape sequence! So close yet so far, it seems like Kathleen is not going to simply waltz out of the door while that collar remains locked around her neck! It will thus be up to her (you) to first find the key to that piece of metal around Kat’s throat, easy right?

… I don’t think that’s a key, Kat. 😐

And a teaser of the fourth chapter of A tight squeeze! Taking place inside the complex’s throne room, it seems that both the queen and Lara aren’t the only ones of their kind anymore… Let’s hope a real heroine will soon arrive, or at least before the situation spirals EVEN MORE out of control! :0

And that’s all for this dev update, see you folks coming Wednesday at the next one! ^^

hi how soon can we expect the next patch to drop ?

Scriptor

I always give E.T.A.’s towards the end of the update cycle: To make the chance of a missed deadline as tiny as possible, and to prevent any delays. Game development knows a lot of caveats (especially as a single developer), and often it’s hard to gauge exactly how much time an update will exactly costs. A good example would be those grain issues I had with the cowgirl escape sequence: Stuff like that can add a day or two to a dev cycle, and if more bumps on the road appear like that a given E.T.A. could quickly turn out to be inaccurate. The reverse is of course also true; with an E.T.A. moving forward if everything goes swimmingly. But to prevent the disappointment of delays, I’d rather err on the safe side, and keep a lid on giving E.T.A.'s till I’m about ~80% done with the dev cycle. So in short: Expect the E.T.A. to drop once we near the end of the dev cycle, which will be somewhere after I’m done with the mini-boss images (so not the cowgirls) for this dev cycle. 💪
