Exclusive dev update of No escape: Game edition! (139) (Pixiv Fanbox)

Heya all, Scriptor here with the Wednesday dev update. Hold onto your butts, because this is a long one!

Game development

I’ve got the final Lysi images currently in the render cue. It will be done by about tomorrow morning(ish), and if they all hold up (usually have to redo one or two) it means that I’ve got all the images surrounding Lysi’s events in the coming update. ^^

As such I’ll be starting with the S.O.P.H.I.A. boss battle fail-state tomorrow. I’ll be tackling her bad end first, since I’m still on the fence about some things during the actual boss battle. I won’t spoil too much (or at least not until I’ve got something kinky to show off), but her fail-state will include some more factory “assembly” fun, this time on a conveyor belt and including some interesting “mold pressing”… Those who love dollification are in for another treat! >;3

But those are the near-term plans, let’s talk about something more “long term” for a moment:

Plans for the next VR-world

Well people, were closing in on the end of the cybercity VR-world and soon will be moving onto the next one. So it’s about time I revealed the plans for the next VR-world.

First off, the next VR-world will be not be a “big” VR-world, but rather an “in-between” VR-world. I’ve long planned on sprinkling these in throughout the game, and I (for one) am quite stocked to get started on it! ^^

Now the main difference between an “in-between” VR-world and a “big” VR-world is that in the “in-between” VR-world is more of a one-shot type of thing. A smaller, singular location with only a few fail-states, enemies and NPCs. I plan to finishing the entire location in one (or two) updates MAX.

It will not have a large hub-area with places to work at, nor have a world “side-quest” like with Rose or Lysi, or a “main boss” like Goddess or S.O.P.H.I.A. Instead it will focus largely on one big “quest”/event-chain, which splits into two (significantly) separate paths to follow and overcome (or not lol). As such it will be a much more “focused” experience than in the “big” VR-worlds, which feels appropriate since again: It’s meant to be a “one-shot” type of thing. ;3

So are you ready to hear which the first “in-between” VR-world for the game is?

THORNVINE ESTATE!

Yes indeed, Thornvine estate will be the first “one-shot” VR-world Kathleen (and you) will be visiting inside the game! For those of you who the place doesn’t ring a bell: Thornvine estate is the ancestral home of lady Rose; the haughty lady from the desert. ;3

As such the place will revolve around Victorian steampunk; with plenty of juicy perils, contraptions and living (maid) suits stalking its corridors… And no worries; for those of you who are afraid of me re-hashing the stuff from Rose’s fail-state: The Thornvine estate Kathleen will be visiting is one from several years AFTER the events inside the desert. And oh boy in the meantime there have been some “significant” changes: With a still missing Rose, a quite angry sister (Violet), and upgraded (even kinkier) maid-suits… Plus a whole other plethora of kinky rubbery stuff; one of which I need your guys vote on (see the separate post for that)!

So there you have it; Thornvine estate is what’s in store for the update after the coming one. Again I’m quite stoked to get started on it, Cybercity and cyberpunky/high-tech perils were a blast to work on, but it’s time for a change of scenery. ;3

Some more teasers of the Lysi events! This time around of the sequence that plays before the mini-boss battle against Lysi and the (potential) bad end. Lured underneath the sex shop to help Lysi with “one last thing”, Kathleen is surprised to see that Lysi has something Kathleen needs “to test”. It’s up to you if Kathleen actually goes along with this however… Although Lysi doesn’t like to take a “no” for an answer >;3
