Good morning people, a (slightly hungover) Scriptor here with a public update about the plans for V0.25.1 of No escape: Game edition!
Plans for V0.25.1
With V0.24.1 out of the door and released to the Tier III backers, it’s time to draw up the concrete plans for V0.25.1. It will be the last update set inside the cybercity VR-world (excluding a potential quality of life update somewhere down the line), and the plans are to wrap up any remaining open ends so my focus can fully shift onto the next VR-world.
Below are the things I’m aiming to add in V0.25.1:
- The option to “battle” the cybercity boss, which will be a “three-stage” battle (a bit like the one against the pyramid’s boss).
- The event in which the player brings the metal briefcase to Lysi, which will also involve a mini-boss fight.
- Two fail-states for the events described above (so two in total).
- An alternate way to pass the gas/smoke blockers inside the factory, to allow players to bypass the cybercity boss completely (like in the pyramid).
- Another small epilogue for when Kathleen gets fail-stated in the cybercity VR-world.
Official E.T.A. for this update will be announced (as always) when all the base render work is done, although I expect this update cycle to be a tad shorter than the previous one (since it’s less work overall). As always I hope I haven’t jinxed myself by writing this. 😅
Coming week I’ll be taking it a bit easy: Focusing on making a buxfix version for V0.24.1, planning out V0.25.1, wrapping up a small side-project/commission and getting (most) of the assets ready for the first hurdle that I’ll tackle (the mini-boss fight attached to the Lysi event). As such there won’t be an exclusive dev update coming Wednesday, but I expect to be able to show off something cool by Sunday. ;3
