Good evening everybody, Scriptor here with the Sunday news! ^^

General news

Today marks the end of the first super busy week I’m currently going through, and as expected game/art development has slowed down a bit as a result of this. In hindsight it was to be expected: it was naive of me to think that juggling three jobs would go without too much issues if I prepared “properly” (which I did). But there’s no preparing for when shit hits the fan (on those other jobs), and between working ~10 hours a day in the lab/healthcare and then coming back home in the evening to immediately jump behind the computer to continue development on No escape… Yeah, there isn’t much time/energy left for making rubber smutt. ;p


That’s not to say I’m burning out or not having been able to continue some game development in the past few days: I’m doing OK and it’s only for another week so it’s not a big deal, but it’s just so you guys have a clear picture on the current state of development and why it’s going faster/slower than usual (I’ve always found it important to be transparent about that stuff).


In any case the goal remains to get V0.23.1 done before the end of the month; onto the game dev news!

Game development

Despite being on a super busy schedule I’ve gotten the following things done/implemented: In the past week I’ve developed and implemented one of the day tasks inside the desert bandit playable fail-state; namely the mini-game in which Muffy gets to hunt for toy mice around the camp. It plays very much akin to the “battles” again the dirty spots inside the sweetie doll fail-state, and of course there’s a reward for doing a good job (as well as a punishment for doing less so). >;3


I’ve also re-structed the desert bandit escape sequence so it now hooks into the new desert bandit camp maps, split the desert bandit fail-state into two to allow for the playable portion in between, put renders and code/dialogue for the Rose “easter egg” inside the bandit camp and make some of the renders for the second day’s tasks, which will see kitty Kat providing “relief” to various bandits around the camp. ^^


All-in-all it’s a bit less than I’d normally be able to manage within a week, but to that’s not weird considering the current circumstances. And to be really honest; I’m happy that I’ve gotten some work done at all last week. ;)

And finally a teaser of the second day’s task, it goes without saying that a “sexual relief kitty” provides what she’s meant for after all… ^^
