Inform : This post is about how did I found ideal(imo) design. There's no complete animation.


As stinger Hscene concept has been decided on N1 Hscene, N2 version also keep the same concept, but more exposing and more accepting.

Initializing animation went smoothly from rough sketch to completed line.


On the next 'loop' stage, this time, I wanted to use 'z-axis' movement actively.

Satisfied with result, I moved to make another feature instead of finishing it.

I didn't know why I felt to do that, but now I'm thinking that It might be becuase the result was not good enough.


After a week, I noticed there's less "feeling" on the result. Even adding positional difference doesn't seem to working.

So I decided to scrap this one and started to think the reason why It feels off.

As I wanted to use z-axis movement, I ended up overusing it, making it looks like 'spinning' instead of 'thrusting'


So I came back to the first rough animation, and tried to keep initial feeling, while slowly fixing the problem one by one. Eventually I could get the desired result.

I definitely think it was a good call to scrap the initial animation. The new one has a degree of motion that makes it seem like each thrust has more kinetic force behind it and thus looks like it has greater impact.
