Changelog: • Cross-species pregnancies can now result in offspring of either of the parents' species (hybrids). • In other words, humans can now give birth to animals, and animals can give birth to humans. • By default, the odds of an offspring being either human or animal is 50/50. You can adjust this with the "Offspring Species Distribution" settings. Bring both settings to 0 if you don't want humans to give birth to animals or animals to give birth to humans. • If a Sim happens to have identical twins, those will always be of the same species... because that's what makes sense. • A bassinet is still required even if a Human Sim is pregnant only with animal offspring, but the bassinet will be automatically placed in your household inventory after birth since it isn't going to be used. This is handled seamlessly, with no resets, and no temporary fake human baby ever showing up during the animation. • Fixed cross-species pregnancy genetics. • One of the problems that comes with Sims giving birth to offspring of different species is that the game cannot correctly calculate the genetics for Sims with parents of distinct species. This results in babies looking quite odd, often with an extremely pale skin tone, or they get weird body proportions once they age up (and the same happens with puppies and kittens). To fix this, my first solution was to make human offspring only inherit genetics from the human parent, and animal offspring only inherit genetics from the animal parent. This fixes the issue, but it makes it very likely for the offspring to end up looking a lot like the parent of the same species, almost like clones. I improved upon this solution by making the offspring also inherit genetics from their grandparents (if they exist, otherwise it will use only their same-species parent). Not only should this add some more diversity, it is also realistic. Note that this only applies to offspring resulting from cross-species pregnancies. • The Fallen Pregnancy Utility can now also manage pet pregnancies. • The Fallen Pregnancy Utility will now also display information about the species of the offspring. • As of version 0.5.0, all the currently existing settings are implemented except for the Kemono-related settings. This version was tested with WickedWhims v178.1 (Patreon) and v176c (Public). Make sure your other ATF Mods are updated to their latest versions! There's a very good chance that the next update will be the last one before the public release. Cub pregnancies are still untested, there's a very good chance that they're not entirely working yet. If you also use Devious Desires, going forward I highly recommend you don't, as both mods are now heavily modifying some key parts of the game's code in very different ways, and that can (and likely will) cause issues if you use both. Please choose one or the other. If you know of any Devious Desires features related to pets/animals that you think ATF Pets is lacking, let me know. Comparing ATF Pets with Devious Desires (because why not): • On the Have Baby interaction, DD suffers from a human baby showing during the animation and being placed into the bassinet even if the Sim doesn't give birth to a human baby at all. • When no human baby is born, DD destroys the bassinet instead of placing it in the household inventory. • With DD, when you're asked to name your baby, the game always assumes the baby is the same species as the Sim giving birth, so the naming dialog fails to mention if the (human) Sim gave birth to a puppy or kitten, and vice-versa. ATF Pets fixes this issue. • DD addresses the genetics issue by using the genetics from the same-species parent plus a random Sim of the same species in the vicinity, and if it doesn't find one it goes back to using both parents (therefore not fixing the issue).

Bravo HRK! I am impressed that you found ways to improve over DD. I know that you're a clever person but glad to see it displayed on this program as well. Thumbs up! :-)

How do I develop a relationship between sim and pet? I don't see any love options. Every time I try set up animation it says my sim and pet aren't close enough.Thanks.

HRK

There isn't any romantic relationship between humans and pets. Try to raise the friendship relationship. Tell me if that doesn't work, even when maxed.

What mods do you need to make the mod work?
