-"Don't be afraid, water is pretty shallow on this part..." - "You can say that just because you're too tall....Let me go...!" Or something like that is the dialogue that was happening inside my mind while drawing this scene...(￣▽￣*)ゞ BTW, really glad to see that some of my original character works has been doing kind of well recently...! (All and any projects since the beginning of April to this point are commissioned art work) My drawings with OCs have always had a tendency towards not performing very well, I know well that this is because the drawings with famous characters always receive extra boost of support from the fans... ┐( ´ д ` )┌ That's why to be honest, recently I've been trying to avoid working with original characters as much as I can, even actively filtering them off off my commission list. And you could say, "Well, you are not doing a great job in that field since recently I have seen a lot of OCs in my inbox" Well, you all are kind of right. I try hard to choose carefully only the most interesting scenes or the characters that really ignite a spark on me. But even so and after implementing filtration measures there are still a lot of projects with more original characters in them. Yeah, it's quite surprising even to me but at least 3 out of 5 job requests are about working with original characters. (This just talking about potentially acceptable projects, I get something like 10 to 15 commission proposals a month, everything else is memes, furry stuff, bondage and etc) BTW, with all this I don't mean at all that I don't like working with original characters, quite the opposite. People with a true passion for their OCs do some of the best work to organize their projects and stay involved throughout all the creative process...! So it's people like them who really help me to stay fired up throughout the drawing process. But at the end of the day the original characters really don't perform very well...┐( ´ д ` )┌ I suppose that at the moment the only hard reality that stands out is the fact that my drawings are not yet at the level necessary to be able to stand out on their own merit. So there is only one thing left to do...! The only thing we artists with slow roots know how to do. Keep working hard and pushing forward...¯\_(ツ)_/¯
