The lizards and the mantis.

Yes, they keep the peace in our yard by destroying the pests in our yard. Maybe...!

However, I'd never seen a lizard in my parents' house in the region.

I didn't think I'd ever see one in the heart of Tokyo.

By the way, we call it "Lizard-kun" but according to my research, it is a "Japanese grass lizard".

It was my first time to see the real thing, but it's pretty cute.

Its long, slender and stylish tail is also very attractive.

And about two weeks after our first meeting, Mr. Mantis had grown to about 1.5 times his size. (No photo.)
